NP: Dream Theater - Endless Sacrifice

Really DT are the only band i've been listening to for about two weeks, apart from pop-punk, but they really are so good. "The Great Debate" is one of my new favourites.
But i've been listening to so much, and i got the keyboard anthology at the weekend, so i've been thrashing through that, well as best i can anyway, Jordan is too good.

Anyway, how is it going R&M?

I suck at CS, that game is too complicated :upset:

Arucard 07-11-2005 01:37 PM

Im good, but i would like to take your DT cd and snap it. Saw them supporting Maiden, most boring set ever.

Are you really that surprised? They aren't exatly renowned for their electric live performance.
If you actually liked the band then you would've enjoyed their set.

Iron Maiden are marginally better than them, but not much.

Pfffft.

I bet you couldn't kick any ones ass on CS:S, besides 1.6 is the manly man version.

I'm at the part in Half-Life 2 where you have that crazy Russian/Arabic guy with the shotgun helping you with the crazy alien creatures that climb up the gutters on top of the building. I just got out of the cemetery with him and left my crazy Russian/Arabic guy behind when he opened the gate.

"Hello, my brother! Did I not tell you to seek the church? You are on the wrong side of town, my friend." Every time he calls me "brother," I think Hulk Hogan is talking to me, heh.

Holy man, Half-Life 2 creeps me out. Such a good game, but I actually shouted "Holy shit!" once :(

It was when some crazy animal thing broke through some wood barricades.

There is a reason to why they say "we don't go to Ravenholm". :p

I admit, that place is creepy. The game gets alot funner from that point on though.

And if you think that game can scare you, go check out Painkiller, creepy as hell game.

NP - Cryptopsy - Grave of the Fathers

The breakdown in this song is awesome.

I would make it as well. Manchester isn't that far, plus it will be a fun trip.
London is just way to far for me to travel.

Heh..I love how you always provide a sort of running commentary on whatever you're listening to.

Well you could on the first one. I used to have hours of fun setting up thousands of laser traps and leading an unsuspecting scientist into them. It was a bloodbath. But then everyone hated you and you ended up getting yo ass whooped by the security guards

Yeah, I loved doing this too. My favorite was very early in the game, when you hit the elevator button, the cable snapped and you see four or five scientists fall past you screaming and then there's a big explosion... and when you look down, all you see are their dead, burnt bodies

As for Jelle's question: no, you can't kill your friends. The gun points away from them and you can't fire.

superpeer 07-11-2005 02:00 PM

I hate it when you can't kill people you're not supposed to kill. That's my favourite thing to do in games like that, screw missions.

We dont go to Ravenholm anymore... Thats where you are introduced to the poison face huggers, and that level is the high point of the game.

'Come, my brother!'

Yeah, I love games like Timesplitters 2 where even if you do fuck up you can still play the game and shoot everyone.

I loved having fun with the laser mines in HL. So many hours wasted...so fun, though.

Timesplitters 2 was brilliant. 3 was even better, though.
