Yeah. Rock started going downhill after 75. And then it went into the 80s

rhcp_r_gods 01-21-2005 03:42 PM

isnt it bios considering classic rock, because rock bands from like 6 years ago that may be good may be arent classic rock because its only 6 years ago.

Illmatic 01-21-2005 03:43 PM

Huh?

BludgeonySteve 01-21-2005 03:44 PM

Indeed. They would be rock and roll. Not classic rock.

jpj 01-21-2005 03:45 PM
Huh?
My thoughts exactly.

BludgeonySteve 01-21-2005 03:46 PM

You have to look past the non making sense and the spelling mistakes.
You have to look past the non making sense and the spelling mistakes.
oh.......I still don't get it :(

BludgeonySteve 01-21-2005 03:49 PM

Don't feel bad. I'm a master of n00bzorz spek after all.

*Rush is really underrated.

jpj 01-21-2005 03:52 PM

Yes they are. One thing that gets to me is people say they don't like them, but they respect Peart for his skill. It's like they think he's the only talented member, do they not realize how awesome Geddy and Alex are?

Badmoon 01-21-2005 03:53 PM

^ I don't really like Rush, but I respect Neil Peart for his skill.

BludgeonySteve 01-21-2005 03:54 PM

Geddy and Alex are almost as skilled as Neil is.

JonG 01-21-2005 03:54 PM

Neil Peart in my view is really overrated..I personally like Geddy Lee's bass and Alex Lifeson's vocals..good power trio.

As for the person who listed the best albums of '65-'77, how can you say Led Zeppelin II wasn't better than III, that's a sin.

Illmatic 01-21-2005 03:56 PM

Rush is talented, but I really don't them.

On the other hand, they are a goldmine of unintentional comedy.

And II strikes me as "meh", but III is a gem.

jpj 01-21-2005 03:56 PM
Neil Peart in my view is really overrated..I personally like Geddy Lee's bass and Alex Lifeson's vocals..good power trio.
Geddy sings all the time to my knowledge.

lunch998 01-21-2005 03:56 PM

Rush was very talented, but I don't like them that much. Jack Bruce>Geddy Lee in the "bassists/singers in a power trio" category.

Badmoon 01-21-2005 03:57 PM

Well, obviously almost doesn't cut it

Well, actuallu I don't really have any thoughts on Rush's music. I don't like it, but I don't hate it. As for the skill, I'd say they're all pretty good. I do believe that Geddy is a bit overrated, and Alex is a fool, but whatever.

Illmatic 01-21-2005 03:57 PM

Wow that rhcp_r_gods fag just de-repped me. Maybe I wouldn't have said anything if he managed to not be a rambly, incoherent idiot. What a dipshit.

EDIT: LMAO. He carries so little relevence that he didn't even take any of my rep points away. The joke's on you, pal.
Rush was very talented, but I don't like them that much. Jack Bruce>Geddy Lee in the "bassists/singers in a power trio" category.
I don't know, I may have to ponder over that one for awhile

Illmatic 01-21-2005 03:59 PM

Bruce is better. Much better.

BludgeonySteve 01-21-2005 04:04 PM

Why's how good Jack Bruce is relevant to any of this? Nobody said that Geddy was the best bass player or singer.

jpj 01-21-2005 04:05 PM

I don't know, lunch brought it up. He's always just looking for a way to start an arguement.

BludgeonySteve 01-21-2005 04:07 PM
Neil Peart in my view is really overrated..
.
Well no ****. Many view him as the best rock drummer ever.

Badmoon 01-21-2005 04:12 PM
Why's how good Jack Bruce is relevant to any of this? Nobody said that Geddy was the best bass player or singer.
Hey! Jack Bruce is always relevant!

Woodstock 01-21-2005 04:14 PM

Here's a list of 60's bands who reached their peak(in my opinion) between 1965 and 1975:

The Beatles
The Kinks
Jimi Hendrix
Neil Young
The Doors
CCR
Frank Zappa
Allman Brothers
The Who
Pink Floyd
Black Sabbath
CSN
The Rolling Stones
Bob Dylan
Steve Miller Band
Santana
Cream
Jeff Beck
James Gang
Jethro Tull
King Crimson
Blind Faith
Booker T. & The MG's
Quicksilver Messenger Service
The Stooges
The Byrds
Buffalo Springfield
Led Zeppelin
ELP

jpj 01-21-2005 04:14 PM

I'd have to agree with you on those.

BludgeonySteve 01-21-2005 04:19 PM

Agreed exept for Neil Young. he's been more or less consistent.

lunch998 01-21-2005 04:24 PM
Bruce is better. Much better.
Yes, thankyou.

By the way I just repped you, but I accidently hit enter in the middle of the message so I'm not sure if my name was on it or not.

lunch998 01-21-2005 04:26 PM
Hey! Jack Bruce is always relevant!
Yea he is. It's relevant because many people claim that Geddy Lee is the best bassist/singer, so I said Jack Bruce was.

Woodstock 01-21-2005 04:27 PM

Yes, it's definetly Jack Bruce. No doubt.

BludgeonySteve 01-21-2005 04:28 PM

It was never about who's the best. Nobody mentioned that geddy was the best.

This is turning spammy0zkrzy
