Really, there is something you can say about pretty much every post. I try not to post stupid stuff, but sometimes I just post because I can, you know?
1995 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS
?miles, red, 2895$
That was the first one that I was thinking about, but my parents are used-car nazis. It probably has really high mileage, and they want it to be less than 100k, and that's really pushing it...

Also, my dad keeps saying that it will be rediculously expensive as far as insurance goes, being an SS. Also it doesn't get great gas mileage, but they are one of my favorire cars, so I will probably look into it more.

Hey dude, how's it going?

DaveSavesTheDay 11-10-2004 02:40 PM
Ok, out of these cars, what should I get?

1999 Pontiac Grand Am SE
80k miles, 2.4L I4 engine, 4 door, red 3900$

1999 Pontiac Grand Am SE
87k miles, v6, 4 dor, teal, 3995$

1998 Dodge Intrepid
85k miles, v6, 4 door, red 3450$

1999 Dodge Stratus ES
74k miles, v6, 4 door, silver, 3900$

1995 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS
?miles, red, 2895$

Or any other makes of car that I should look at for this price range...

Thanks.

Heh, awesome :thumb:. Another thing I was thinking, is that it seems a lot less like spam when you use proper grammar in posts.

:amaze:

jamesr 11-10-2004 02:41 PM

I personally hate 4 door cars, and my friend has a SS and it is nice. Plus the ss means all the goodies....

Wintermute 11-10-2004 02:41 PM

That's a valid point, actually.

(You see, that seemed a more intelligent post than '123', though it said the same)

:amaze: 11-10-2004 02:42 PM
monte carlo SS
That's two votes for that one ... I just need to keep working the parents for that one.

DaveSavesTheDay 11-10-2004 02:44 PM

Well really , what condition ar they all in?

i use proper grammar and spelling besides capital letters, unless i am giving a name of something.
I personally hate 4 door cars, and my friend has a SS and it is nice. Plus the ss means all the goodies....
The amount of doors really doesn't matter to me all that much. Yeah, the SS makes it much cooler ... but also raises insurance and gas prices by a bit. Plus, it's red, making it even faster (red cars go faster, you know...).

Just to add this, I am currently driving a 1992 Plymouth Sundance. 2 doors, 4cyl. engine, body damage from two small accidents, a bit of rust, and a transmission that is going fast. So, any of the cars that I have listed would be quite a step up.
Well really , what condition ar they all in?
I haven't gone to test drive any of them yet, and I definately will before buying of course, but they all seem to be in fine condition after looking at the pictures ...

:amaze:

DaveSavesTheDay 11-10-2004 02:50 PM

Ya. well you should test drive them to see what one you like best. If they were all aroudn the same condition i'd take the Monte Carlo , but it all depends what condition its in

Yeah, I'm with you on that one. I printed out the information about all of them, and I'll show them to my dad once he gets home. Hopefully we can make some calls tonight and get me a car!!

Thats the one thing I hate about livingin in Canada though. I can only ride my bike for half the year. Other half ( winter ) i have to get rides from my friends

DaveSavesTheDay 11-10-2004 02:55 PM

Does any one here live in europe?

If yes.. is it true that there is no legal drinking age?

:amaze: 11-10-2004 02:56 PM

I just found a 1999 Cavalier RS coupe ... 80k miles, gold, 2 door for 3995. Any thoughts about that?

Yeah, I live in Michigan, so it really isn't a whole lot different. Not quite as bad, but same deal.

I use to own a 97 rs, I loved it. Ran it to 150k before i traded it in. I would pick that over a carlo.

:amaze: 11-10-2004 02:58 PM

It is just a trim package. It has the same 2.2 as the standard model. But it ads a wing, seat upgrade, power, cd , and so on.

There aren't any pics of the Monte Carlo, but I know exactly what it looks like ... and it says that it is in very good condition. The other ones are from www.cars.com or www.autotrader.com and some have pics, but you can't really see anything in detail.

Ahh, gotcha. Is it pretty quick, or not really? I think that the one I drive is a 2.2, but it is slow as shit.

I usually don't like cars with all that kinda stuff done to it, but that one looks hot as hell. Very nice.
Does any one here live in europe?

Yes, No.

Yes, I live in Europe, and no, that's not true. There is no STANDARD drinking age. For example, in the UK it's 18, and in France it's 16. But your parents can give you alcohol in your own home from age 4, in the UK.

jamesr 11-10-2004 03:05 PM

I loved that car, it was fun to drive. I traded it in on a new loaded blazer. I love my blazer, but miss having a car...

fatbandit 11-10-2004 03:05 PM

Of course there's a legal drinking age. Here in England, its 18. and Europe doesn't have the same laws all over. Different countries have different laws, like France and Spain don't necessarily have to obey the same ones.
I loved that car, it was fun to drive. I traded it in on a new loaded blazer. I love my blazer, but miss having a car...
Blah ... I don't like real big cars/SUVs and that kinda stuff. I like sportier cars.

:amaze:

Spaceman Spiff 11-10-2004 03:10 PM

Europe is a continent, therefore it does not have the same laws all over.
same goes for, say, North America. in Canada, once you're 19 you're legal for everything, but in USA the legal age is 21 i believe....no clue about Mexico though.

What about this one?

1995 CHEVROLET CAMARO, Convertible, V6, 3.4, garage kept, power seats/ windows/ top, ac, runs great, $3900

The picture looks very hot, although it doesn't give mileage. And with winter coming up, that might not be real smart...

jamesr 11-10-2004 03:14 PM

Bad choice for a daily driver. Convertibles are high insurance, plus it probably has a v8. With the rear wheel drive it will won't go good in the winter.

bottlerocket 11-10-2004 03:15 PM

I still say Pontiac Grand AM...extremely comfortable.
