We were thinking of changing it to the classic rock/jam rock community and discussion thread or something to that extent
Way too long. Besides, there already is a Jam Band thread.

Freddie9 01-20-2005 08:25 PM
i agree, it use to be a lot smaller of a genre like in the 80's but now anything from elvis to guns n roses is classic rock.
I think it starts w/ people like buddy holly and ends with the rush/late pink floyd era. GNR is too recent

MalcolmYoungRock 01-20-2005 08:25 PM

Everyone's typing too fast for me and my crappy computer to catch up.

So I'm out. Before I go...

Some people at my school were protesting about the war in iraq, called themselves the "liberal youth group of america" and they didn't play any bob dylan.

They are shameful hippies.

Bleh. You can't have an Anti-War protest without Bob Dylan. Somebody should beat their asses.

Hey! Don't get mad. I think it's funny we thought the same thing about Boston.

lunch998 01-20-2005 08:34 PM

Boston had potential and then they blew it.

wanton 01-20-2005 08:35 PM

The Byrds - 5D (Fifth Dimension) is a good song. Listening to it now.

I need more songs like this from the Byrds, all I've really heard was their most popular hits.

Badmoon 01-20-2005 08:35 PM

Well, I know most of the regulars in the Jam Band thread. None of us post in there often, plus it is in a different forum. I am almost 100% sure that everyone who commonly posted in there, posted in here several times. Whenever the subject comes up, they're usually here anyway.

Kingadamx
ShineonYouCrazyDiamond
VoodooChild
Keep on Phishin'
etc

It's good to have them in here.

Seeing Woodstock's avatar can anyone recommend me good Joe Walsh albums. The only stuff that I really know by him is his stuff with The EAgles

Freddie9 01-20-2005 08:37 PM

do you guys think Eat A Peach was the Brother's best album?

Or you can cheat like me and get the Deluxe version of Live at the Fillmore, which is 2 discs and has Mountain Jam.

That's the version I have.

Badmoon 01-20-2005 08:54 PM

Eat a Peach owns Fillmore East. And it didn't make Rollingstone's list

Stand Back and Blue Sky > all
