awesome if you are into guy girls
|
matt, that what it was like for a couple of the merriweather songs, all three of them just working their samplers but they did most of the show as Avey playing guitar, Panda doing samples and drumming and Geologist just sampling. It was awesome. They played Slippi from Here Comes The Indian :amaze:
|
How in the hell is HIM screamo?
Ugh. |
i hope they play the purple bottle
|
how is music that sounds like five year olds cooler than hardcore guys?
you're just trying to fit in in college. |
animal collective rules
|
any dudebros from philly ever go to this place giannos or something off of south street? really good vegan/veg menu, they have veggie cheesesteaks and stuff. i guess its a pit stop for hardcore bands that roll through the area, they have a bunch of signed posters and **** of some crucial bands. really good food. i saw animal collective at the electric factory last night, was amazing
Yeah, I've been there a few times. The food's really good, and they offer stuff for people who eat dairy products and/or meat, which is cool. The Electric Factory is a lameass venue, but you take what you can get. Are you going to see the National? |
animal collective drools.
|
they're fun. but not as mindblowing as people say they are. they were cool when i saw them at rescue rooms in nottingham, 15 minute version of fireworks was awesome.
|
i hope they play the purple bottle
was hoping for this the whole time, didn't do it. the songs they played, not in order, were: In The Flowers My Girls Also Frightened Summertime Clothes Daily Routine Lion In A Coma Brothersport Leaf House Fireworks Who Could Win A Rabbit Slippi Who Could Win A Rabbit and Leaf House were awesome, very different versions of the songs because they were relying on the samplers and whatever. Best songs of the night were Brothersport, Summertime Clothes, and Fireworks. New songs/jams sounded awesome too. Definitely missed a bunch of songs though, needed way more Strawberry Jam stuff and maybe some Grass or Did You See The Words |
i hope they play peacebone
to jared: whatever. i never compared animal collective to hardcore dropout logic |
Nice set list but i'd like to see other songs. Whatsup
|
Sup Santiago, how you doin man?
You by chance going to Significant Fest this year? |
hmm. i bought the plunger lp today at the record store... i'm not sure why... not sure if i really want it
|
Haven't heard of that band in forever. I guess they were kind of tight.
|
I've been listening to a lot of Flashbulb Memory lately.
|

|
Sup Santiago, how you doin man?
You by chance going to Significant Fest this year?
Yeah so far my plans are set to be there. Should be a good time. You making it out? |
What do Plunger sound like?
the emo one? Manrae, Republic of Freedom Fighters, Parades End, Don Martin 3, Navio Forge... you know... 90s emo that can be directly linked to Rites of Spring and that scene, as opposed to the twinkly midwest Cap'n Jazz influenced stuff. |
Yeah so far my plans are set to be there. Should be a good time. You making it out?
Hopefully, my friends are either playing it or the aftershow, not sure which, but hey I get to see Slapshot so I'm down. |
plunger sounds like obscure 90s emo... the guy went on to the deadwood devine...
|
obscure 90s emo is the weirdest name ever.
|
adj adj noun
|
Sounds cool, I wanna check them out. What's their best album?
|
Well, isn't it adjective, adjective, adjective?
|
i've came to the conclusion that all i want to do is buy a bong and stay home ripping it while playing computer games all day every day.
|
you've given up on the thrash band?!@
i don't recall ever playing in a thrash band |
Well, isn't it adjective, adjective, adjective?
yes it is. i was joking |
Sounds cool, I wanna check them out. What's their best album?
There is an LP and a few 7''s about I think, best bet is probably soulseek or blogspot. They remind me of Moss Icon, not a bad thing! |
Wait a goddamn minute here.
You can't have three adjectives in a row without a noun at the end. That's just tomfoolery. So I think you were originally right, Matt. |
genre can be a noun or an adjective so it gets kind of confusing
|
how is "a genre" an adjective? anyway Justin: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?byd4cegtwjf
|
sort of like the same way african-american can be an adjective
|
an "African-American boy". adj noun. that's fair. but how does it make genre a valid adj? it was a "genre band"? wth?
|
we aren't talking about the word genre
i get why you're confused, we aren't talking about the same thing i don't think. |
I have no idea what you're talking about.
