The Radiohead one is better than the original.
Only if you're one of those idiots who really dislikes Radiohead.

My friend said Madlib has a new cd, true?

JonM 04-11-2007 01:15 PM

Kyle 04-11-2007 01:43 PM

That's what I was thinking.

Hell yeah, Sage Francis is sweet.

sgrevs 04-16-2007 07:05 PM

So I saw Rock the Bells (the film) the other night, the doco about when Wu-Tang headlined it. Was pretty cool, showed some sick freestyling from Chali 2na and MC Supernatural and his son. MC Super is a god on the mic, seriously, he was incredible. They only showed a tiny bit of Wu-Tang on stage, but it was cool anyway. The interviews with them were way awesome, RZA and GZA are absolute champions.
Undisputed Truth > Shadows On The Sun
I really really want to hear this album. Rhymsayers makes me actually proud to be minnesotan (just cool to be able to know about places/things theyre refering to)

Anyone else heard it?

Jaded 04-16-2007 09:01 PM

I'm not huge on supernatural, don't really like his delivery or voice.

sgrevs 04-16-2007 09:31 PM
I'm not huge on supernatural, don't really like his delivery or voice.
But it was his rhymes, they were just jaw-droppingly good.

ATM 04-17-2007 10:00 AM

He's great at freestyles, too.

edit: to above, Undisputed Truth is a killer album

sgrevs 04-17-2007 11:35 AM

i may have to pick that up. in the film, he stood on the barrier in front of the crowd and got them to put stuff in his hands (e.g bottle, glasses, whatever people were holding) and he would just rap about them. It was really amazing.

Rams 04-18-2007 03:19 PM

I am half way through the new Bone Thugs. I am liking it.

ATM 04-18-2007 05:12 PM

Didn't even know they had a new one.

Has anyone listened to any of the Stones Throw podcasts? They are pretty damn cool.

I think it's funny that Tortoise's new album is coming out on Stones Throw.

The Door Mouse 04-18-2007 06:27 PM

Anyone like Archie? Anyone heard of him? Anyone care?

Hahaha, are those songs previously released? because if so, i'd expect some Bone Thugs on there, as well as Gang Starr's "Take Two and Pass".

does anyone else here dig Pete Rock & CL Smooth? such beautiful production and smooth rhyming, i'm surprised they don't get more recognition.

edit: though looking at the tracklist again it doesn't have that many well-knowns so i dunno

Amit 04-22-2007 04:44 PM

Mecca And The Soul Brother

Srs business, man. It's amazing. I haven't heard anything else though.

pulseczar 04-22-2007 05:19 PM

I've heard their second/last album called The Main Ingredient, which I've heard is as good as Mecca, and probably is because it's so great.
