shwah?

oliv_da_skinmasher 01-25-2008 09:53 AM

Take the fret out and put a new one in. Its possible, my mates grandad does it alot, he also make killer guitars from scratch(even cuts the body shapes and necks and everything so its not just putting it together)

Panopticon 01-25-2008 09:58 AM

...uhh im not about to do that on a brand new guitar with zero experience...

I'll most likely bring it into the music store (AGAIN)

oliv_da_skinmasher 01-25-2008 09:59 AM

Yeah fari does man. I'd feel the same lol. Was just a suggestion. If they dont swap it take it to a guitar repair dude n thats all they'll do

Panopticon 01-25-2008 10:02 AM

Oh no im not gonna get another new guitar...i'm gonna get em to fix it.

oliv_da_skinmasher 01-25-2008 10:02 AM

Ah good plan lol

Berk 01-25-2008 10:30 AM

exams suck ****ing hard srs

oliv_da_skinmasher 01-25-2008 10:32 AM

Get over it. or drop out

Panopticon 01-25-2008 10:35 AM

what song should my band cover? we have a show on the 17th.

I'm thinking hypocrisy. We don't want anything too progressive because we're playing shows with bands that are not progressive in the least and our originals fill the progressiveness enough. Plus we want something easy to learn.

Nahie 01-25-2008 10:35 AM
im playing guitar....

i just found out this guitar is fcked too...my 20th fret is too low so my 20th and 21st frets give me the same note...ugh...
sounds like you need to just release pressure on the neck, and lower the string hieght.

i have had similar problems with guitars going into very cold climate from hot muggy weather and it screwed the intonation quite a bit.

Berk 01-25-2008 10:35 AM

yeah i'll drop out.

lol this morning on the way to school, my dad made my sister cry from yelling. lol

Chippy569 01-25-2008 10:35 AM

how does the scale of progressiveness work? how is something more progressive than something else?

Nahie 01-25-2008 10:36 AM
how does the scale of progressiveness work? how is something more progressive than something else?
amount of odd times + length of song X BPM = progressiveness

No. Just no

Drum Phil 01-25-2008 10:50 AM

This is why kids should be led into the wild at birth and left there.

Familys should only have one child.

If only there was somewhere we could get away with this.

basically...no but 4/4 can be prog.

but yeah we want something simple to cover.

When i said "anything not too progressive" i meant...something that isn't progressive.

We're playing a show with them.
Systematic Chaos
would you like me to cover the entire album?

Nahie...every fret on every other string is fine and the intonation is fine...turns out the 20th fret is lower than all the others.

oliv_da_skinmasher 01-25-2008 10:57 AM

Yes the whole album
