The fact that "stupider" isn't a word makes you the most stupid person ever. And don't start this shit.
We aren't writing formal essays here, dumbass. We're aloud to use words in our general vernacular rather than just proper words you can find in a dictionary. |
Hence the use of inverted commas to display that "stupider" was used in gest as irony.
People are too serious. I asked if they were the same person because from my memory they looked similar, not everyone's a big Sum 41 fan as you proclaim yourself to be and know these things. |

Hey, me and that other queer are having a battle of stupidy, that post wasn't meant for anyone to read but him, so...shut up :smoke:
Hence the use of inverted commas to display that "stupider" was used in gest as irony. I was just testing to see if you learned anything from your english teacher, carry on cobber. |
Ok, fuck off now if you're just gonna continue your pathetic E-fight.
I noticed on Sum 41s video for their first single Deryk has a raspier voice and on a live vid i have he sings alot smoother. Does his voice naturally roughen when he sings or does he strain it to make it like that? |
lol at bassic bassist trying to argue with adam.

Answer:
wow. thanks a lot. i always write from a personal place. i don't know what the new songs will be about yet. but i can say they will all be from the heart. answered by deryck on Thursday, July 27 , 2006 12:44 PM hmm...I wonder if they'll all be like Pieces or 88, both I think were from the heart but one was soft and the other hardcore...I hope 88, I think it's there best song |
I'm more of an old school Sum 41 fan myself. 88 was a good song, but it didn't stick in my head. Noots is probably my favorite song from Chuck along with Pieces.
Deryck said it'd be more classical Sum style of writing, so I'm hoping for more poppy/catchy stuff. :) I'm anxious to hear it though. |

they're in the middle of pre-production for their new album due to be released in 2007, that's all for now

Sweet.
Any word on Brown Brigade? |
Brown Brigade is a reggae influenced heavy metal band created by Dave "Brownsound" Baksh.
The existense of such a band was first made official on Thursday, May 11, 2006 when Baksh, previously a member of Canadian punk rock band Sum 41, announced he would be leaving the band that he had been a member of for the last 10 years. The split was based on the difference between the musical direction of Sum 41 and where Baksh wishes to take his young career. Brown Brigade will have a classic metal sound, which is the music that Baksh has been longing to write and play since childhood. The music of the band is expected to be comparable to the sound of Iron Maiden, says Baksh. According to an article by the Rolling Stone in May 2006, Brown Brigade has currently recruited bassist Vaughn Lal (Dave's cousin), drummer Lee Fairlea, guitarist Craig "The Craigulator" Pattison (Dave's guitar tech with Sum 41). Dave Baksh also stated that the band will have their own mascot much like Iron Maiden with Eddie the Head and Megadeth with Vic Rattlehead. According to Baksh the mascot will resemble a brown knight. The band recently announced on their website that they have hired a lead singer named Travis Sanders and are currently working on a 6-song EP. Currently the band has no record company affiliation. They are looking to release their first album in the fall of 2006, and might do some touring in the preceding summer. Taken from wikipedia, I am very excited about this. |
I saw Avril and Deryk in a magazine the other week, on their wedding.
It was in something like "OK magazine" |
Wow, Brown Brigade sounds like it'll be cool.
Ben: Haha wtf "OK magazine". |
Brown Brigade sounds awsome.
That magazine sounds Okay. HAHAHA, YA GET IT!? OKAY!? ...Sorry, horrible joke. :upset: |
So Brown Brigade are pretty sorted then. I won't like them, but it's cool that Dave is doing what he wants to do.
|
I've got a feeling that Brown Brigade will either be very good or just crap because they are trying to be too much like other bands and stuff.

Cone has a side project with some guy named Todd Morse, I don't know who he is or if he's already famous or anything, but it's called The Operation, and I don't actually like it, but some of you guys might EDIT: oh yeah, also, for you guys looking into Brown Brigade http://www.myspace.com/brownbrigade these songs don't have vocals, but they've found a singer and are working on an EP, personally I really like this stuff, I can't wait for the vocals |
They really need to get this new CD out... I've completely lost interest and haven't listened to their music in a long time. It's all gotten old.

I still like them but I really need to hear something new, even though I can't see it being great. |
Ladies and gentleman,
Sorry about not updating for the past while. The five of us have been locked in my (Dave) basement recording our debut EP. This thing is raw like mad cow. We did the actual tracking in two weeks and mixed it in about a week. We're psyched and hope this can tide you over till our first full length. I would like to personally apologize to and thank all of you that have written me. I have not had alot of time to get on the interweb to answer my e-mails and questions. It's been pretty stressful working out a few things. I hope you all understand that I had to focus on the recording. I will answer all of you as soon as I can. One last thing. We are now in talks with Aquarius to sign a deal. They have been super cool with our creative control. It's going to be an honor to work with Donald K Donald again. Incase you don't know him Donald is the reason The Rolling Stones rehearse and love Canada. I think he is the only one that speaks Keith Richardsish his own obscure language. Everyone Get Brown, Brown Brigade
Yay. |

I don't feel like it's gotten old, I mean, I don't listen to it them alot, because I have like hundreds of albums, but when I do listen to Sum 41 I still enjoy it tons |
I got bored, but it's cool
