It would be nice to hear how Ray Gillen sounded.

JACKROXYOU 01-15-2005 01:13 PM

is there not an album where ray sings?

shadow_stalker 01-15-2005 02:03 PM

about 4 weeks an sabbaths first album will be 35 years old

Brew 01-15-2005 02:08 PM

^Pointed that out a few pages ago.

Then there was a silly arguement about when Sabbath first started.

Also, you might be able to get some Ray Gillan stuff off a p2p.

shadow_stalker 01-15-2005 02:11 PM

yeah buit i just got an email from joe siegler so i just thought i would say

Brew 01-15-2005 03:15 PM

Hehe.

IAJP 01-15-2005 03:35 PM

I'm gonna have to download some sabbath tracks with Tony singing,
I just haven't got round to it yet :(

shadow_stalker 01-15-2005 03:53 PM

i didnt know tony sang on any

EDIT: sorry i thought you ment tony iommi but you were probably talking about martin

who sings cardinal sin?

Brew 01-15-2005 04:00 PM

Maybe he means Tony Martin?

So....I put Live Evil onto cd today after having it on my comp from vinyl for a few weeks.

All I have to say is:

What
A
Joke!

The album totalled at 82mins or so, which meant I had to do some song editing.

I had to:

Cut out all of Fluff
Make E5150 about 40seconds shorter
Cut out aload of crowd cheering

It took ages.

But, I now have Live Evil on cd, along with Headless Cross.

Yay :)

shadow_stalker 01-15-2005 04:19 PM

you could have just bought the cd

Brew 01-15-2005 04:42 PM

But I got it on vinyl ages ago and I can't be arsed searching shops for it to find it priced at around £15

ToRidTheDisease 01-15-2005 04:52 PM

Also, Vinyl > CD.

shadow_stalker 01-15-2005 04:56 PM

fair enough

good night all

Live Evil is a double album right?
So why didn't you just use 1 cd for each vinyl record rather than try to fit both records on one cd?

Deterium216 01-15-2005 05:21 PM

dude, just buy the cds, they're not that expensive if you know where to look. I mean, pounds into $$ is at about 2&1, right? if you're spending 30$ on a cd, than you should just get napster or kazaa. And anyway, aren't all of the post-ozzy non-imports dirt cheap anyway? I mean, I picked up Tyr for about six bucks.

rippa32 01-15-2005 05:30 PM

6 bucks? thats alright. But btw he has explained before that he prefers the sound of vinyl.

But Vinyl sounds better than CD.

The cd version has all the songs on one cd :(

Its an 80min album, I'm not too fussed about chopping out Fluff because its only the album version being played and crowd cheering is nothing special.

I knocked it down to 80mins and 1 second in the end, it burnt fine.

And to the n00b:

1. I refuse to download albums
2. I love vinyl
3. $1 is approx. £1.89 at the moment
4. Over here all the Sabbath albums are priced the same, regardless of singer.
5. I like making 5 point posts.
6. Taking it too far with number 6

That was just one release it is usually two cd's. ( I read a lot of stuff from joe sieglers site)

Brew 01-16-2005 06:05 AM

Ok.

I didn't really want to use 2 cd's for an 82min album though when they hold 80mins.

JACKROXYOU 01-16-2005 09:28 AM

makes sense

shadow_stalker 01-16-2005 02:27 PM

woo black sabbath is third in the most recent polls (just thought i would say)

im thinking of ordering dehumanizer off amazon, think its worth it?

Brew 01-16-2005 02:56 PM

^Go for it.

Its next on my list of Sabbath albums to buy.

shadow_stalker 01-16-2005 02:59 PM

i wasnt sure whether to buy that or never say die, but since i only have ozzy-sabbath albums i might as well go for a change of pace

rippa32 01-16-2005 05:20 PM

Yeah dehumanizer is quite a good album. Every song is great.

JACKROXYOU 01-16-2005 06:52 PM

black sabbath isnt doing to good on poll g

rippa32 01-17-2005 04:08 AM

Was there any live albums from Tony Martin?

floyd.the.barber 01-17-2005 07:21 AM

no

shadow_stalker 01-17-2005 07:30 AM
black sabbath isnt doing to good on poll g
sabbath wont do well on any polls because people on this forum are so obsessed with metallica, iron maiden and led zepp that they wont vote for anyone else (well thats what i think)
