immolation

RetiredAt21 01-07-2010 10:41 AM

Is new Darkthrone gonna the same as the last?

Txus 01-07-2010 11:01 AM

idk

itll probably be good

Aakon_Keetreh 01-07-2010 11:07 AM

i dunno about that

illmitch 01-07-2010 11:11 AM

honestly i like new darkthrone almost as much as old darkthrone, so i think ill probably like it

Txus 01-07-2010 11:11 AM

I think I'm one of the few ones in here who love their punk/bm stuff.

illmitch 01-07-2010 11:13 AM

yeah the fusion of crust/black metal is just music to my ears

Countorus 01-07-2010 12:19 PM

yeah, foad is awesome, its not even bm, and thats why fagts complain

RetiredAt21 01-07-2010 12:54 PM

I might give FOAD another chance idk.

Txus 01-07-2010 12:56 PM

i dont get it

you like hardcore, crust so much and yet you dont like new darkthrone

weird bro

RetiredAt21 01-07-2010 12:59 PM

Yeah but if they aren't doing anything different idk why I should even bother.

Txus 01-07-2010 01:02 PM

lol ok

RetiredAt21 01-07-2010 01:04 PM

I'm js. A lot of crust bands sound same-ish and it's just kinda redundant to listen to another clone of Riistetyt or Discharge.

Angmar 01-07-2010 01:08 PM

I don't think you can really listen to music and think "if they aren't gonna do anything different what's the point"

I mean you could but your library would be quite small.

RetiredAt21 01-07-2010 01:09 PM

I listen to a lot of crust and a lot of the bands sound very similar. I'm not dying to check out new crust unless it's a little innovative or especially good. New Darkthrone is neither.

witchxrapist 01-07-2010 01:30 PM

New Darkthrone is awesome, stfu cunt.

Meatplow 01-07-2010 01:34 PM

I really liked Darkthrone's Total Death, it seems underrated

I haven't outright disliked any of their albums yet except Goatlord, which is a collection of early demos to my understanding

Txus 01-07-2010 01:37 PM

Meh, their middle era stuff is quite boring. But like their latest two albums are as outstanding as the first stuff.

witchxrapist 01-07-2010 01:38 PM

Their middle era stuff is real same-y, but I find if you haven't listened to Darkthrone in a while it's much better lol.

Meatplow 01-07-2010 01:39 PM

Panzerfaust just seems like a lesser version of Transilvanian Hunger, but I still found it pretty good. Ravishing Grimness didn't really grab my attention though.

witchxrapist 01-07-2010 02:41 PM

Ravishing Grimness is like my favorite.

The Claws Of Time is such a good song.

RetiredAt21 01-07-2010 02:56 PM

First four albums are all awes.

it was the would be album to follow soulside journey before they switched to black metal. some of the riffs and lyrics of a blaze in the northern sky can be found in goatlord

witchxrapist 01-07-2010 03:13 PM

Wouldn't it be some of the riffs and lyrics of Goatlord can be found on A Blaze In The Northern Sky?!

LeMonotreme 01-07-2010 03:16 PM

To me, Darkthrone's best is Under a Funeral Moon

RetiredAt21 01-07-2010 03:19 PM

TH is my fav.

witchxrapist 01-07-2010 03:25 PM

Ravishing Grimness tbh.

FatalEnergy 01-07-2010 04:07 PM

Blaze is still my favorite.

I don't mind their newer stuff, but it's not really something I usually reach for.

witchxrapist 01-07-2010 04:33 PM

Is your avatar that Japanese movie where "god" is that guy sitting in the chair stabbing himself or whatever?

Moon Flavor 01-07-2010 04:34 PM
Is your avatar that Japanese movie where "god" is that guy sitting in the chair stabbing himself or whatever?
lol that **** sucks

reminds me artie lange tried to kill himself by stabbing himself 9 times

witchxrapist 01-07-2010 04:40 PM

lolololol

FatalEnergy 01-07-2010 04:47 PM

It's from the movie Begotten, but yeah he's god and he disembowels himself then some chick comes and beats him off and impregnates her self with his cum and then the rest of the movie her child is tortured.

witchxrapist 01-07-2010 04:51 PM

yeah, that movie's pretty dumb lol

Jaundice 01-07-2010 05:26 PM

you just don't get the symbolism

rasputin 01-07-2010 08:53 PM
Is your avatar that Japanese movie where "god" is that guy sitting in the chair stabbing himself or whatever?
It's not Japanese, I don't think so at least. It's a artsy movie though.

TimJim 01-07-2010 09:11 PM
so where should i start with beherit
