The Fiery Furnaces - Blueberry Boat
Hah, all the hate inspired a listen, huh?

Luxor 11-16-2006 12:37 AM

Mineral - End Serenading
Modest Mouse - Building Nothing Out Of Something

asymm 11-16-2006 12:38 AM

Haha, yes, yes it did. Whenever I see things being mentioned (good or, in this case, bad) I gravitate towards them. Another case in point - I'm listening to Sonic Nurse.

Montana 11-16-2006 12:39 AM

Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea

Never listened to this band before today. I've heard this name tossed around so much lately I had to check them out. It's excellent.

pixiesfanyo 11-16-2006 12:42 AM

Really?

I thought it was less excellent.

Little Man being Erased 11-16-2006 12:50 AM

I don't like it.

Zmev 11-16-2006 12:55 AM

It gets slightly worse over time.

Art Brut - Bang Bang Rock & Roll - 4/5
Morphine - Good - 3-3.5/5

Robert Crumb 11-16-2006 01:00 AM

Listening to Ys for the first time. Not bad. More artists should put out 50 minute EPs. Rolling Stone jokes here.

No man. It has 5 songs. It's an EP.

Robert Crumb 11-16-2006 01:12 AM

My first release is going to be a double EP.

Robert Crumb 11-16-2006 01:20 AM

It's going to be a concept album about dry wall. Hank Azaria will contribute spoken word parts and the ghost of Harry Nilsson will provide back-up vocals on the third track. String Arrangements by Sean O'Hagan.

I'm pretty much about to explode waiting for the new Tom Waits. I'm pretty sure I'm getting it for my birthday.

Anxious 11-16-2006 09:57 PM

The Bass Pow Wow. it's an interview with Mike Watt, Flea, Les Claypool, and Cris Kirkwood. Watt pretty much dominates the discussion but why not?

I want to hear that.

I've been listening to Joanna Newsom, Low and Sarah Blasko.

I took you guys' advice and listened to Bastards of Young.

It changed my life.

Kyle 11-16-2006 10:24 PM

I really want the Devastations thing, but am struggling to find it for download.

Zmev 11-16-2006 10:43 PM

Ted Leo & The Pharmacists - Tell Balgeary, Balgury is Dead - 3.5/5 (would have been 4/5 except for Broken Artifact)

Ted Leo & The Pharmacists- Shake the Sheets - 3.5/5 (Up from 3/5)

PECOAE 11-16-2006 10:59 PM

Hearts of Oak I find a lot better.

If only for The High Party...
