Syd Barret-Melk Weg
Bootleg I found on some blog. I love it to death. Syd Barret classics plus unreleased songs. And the best part is the lo-fi ness of it makes it sound like early GBV. |

Southeast. Philadelphia suburbs, like 45 minutes from the city. Closest recognizable town to people who live anywhere near me is generally Quakertown. I'm closer to Allentown than Philly. |

They always find at least a couple amazing tracks that make the whole thing worth checking out. I hope to find a Jay Mitchell album out there one day, the guy does a great 12 minute version of "Mustang Sally." The cover of "Jingle Bells" on that San Ul Lim is the best. Good call on this one, ATM. |

How is the record on a whole? I've only heard the one song off the recent Wire Tapper, but the combination is a little awkward. |
Glad you're digging it, I'm actually listening to Os Afro-Sambas right now. It was a hit when I was down in the Cayman Islands.

It's ok, there's no real standout track to me, though. The only one I really like is "Dearest Friends," which doesn't sound much like the rest of the album. Pretty much the only reason it got so many plays was because I wrote about it. If you really like Mouse on Mars or the Fall, it's worth checking out but even then it might be a let down. I didn't really like it. Too disco. It's ashame, it could have been awesome |
I don't mind the disco; "That Sound Wiped" is probably one of the more straight-up dance tune but it's better than most of the rest. But yeah, I guess they're gonna make a second album, which hopefully will work out better than this one.
Category 5 Hurricanes
Ha, sounds bad ***. |
It was pretty juicy.

I don't mind it at times, but it gets on my nerves. It isn't what I was expecting at all, though, which is partly why it angrifies me There's some good Mark E Smith stuff though |
Young Ginns - Discography
Two members of Unwound, and one member of The Nation of Ulysses. Holy crap! It was recorded in 1991, and fu.ck yeah it rules. They do an excellent cover of a song by Void that I haven't heard in forever. |
^That sounds mighty fine to me.

Me as well, but I can't seem to locate any files on soulseek. Also, while doing some English homework, I've been listening to: Mogwai - Mr. Beast Jesu - Conqueror |
Deerhoof - Friend Oppurtunity
I haven't listened to them in a couple months, but I downloaded a Kill Rock Stars podcast that had they playing live, and it's gotten me to listen to this a bit more. Good ****. |
Yowie - Cryptooology
I'm not a huge math rock fan but when it's good it's really ****ing good. |
Someone suggested me that awhile ago. might check it out.
