I am extremely lazy also, but I still make the grade...I never ever ever do homework.
Actually looking at it, there's only 2 subjects I'm below a B on. Tech cos I suck at drawing and Maths because we had no teacher for a year.
Naturally clever people FTW.
I am extremely lazy also, but I still make the grade...I never ever ever do homework.
A grade at my school would've been dropped for that. We never had a very strict method for working out end of term grades (unlike it seems to be in America), but for each subject we got a letter from A-E for effort, and a number from 1-5 for achievement.

Same here (well almost). But most of the teachers forget to note homework was set and don't mark students down for effort.

Well, I just end up "borrowing" homework from someone the period before. But ya, in america its about gettin the grade not actually learning.

i get paid by the government to go to school, and i get bonuses if i get good effort grades (£100 3 times a year :D) - i love the fact that my parents don't make much money, lol.

in other random news: my gf gave herself a massive Iron Maiden avatar on her bebo homepage

I bloody better get decent EMA next year.

my school was one of the first to do it, under the trial scheme. you'll find that your mates that don't get it envy you though :p
it's useful having it go straight into your bank account though, i don't even think about it most of the time, it's nice to find it there when i check.

NP: Dream Theater - whatever the hell's track 3 on 6DOIT disc 2, lol.

Bartender 03-20-2006 12:26 PM

My school was also in the trial. I never got an EMA though. Stupid technicalities.

PinkFreud 03-20-2006 12:26 PM

My parents are well off but I appreciate that they don't shower me with gifts or money. It's done a lot for my character I think. It also let's me learn from my mistakes. For example, blowing $1500 first semester. So now I have 40 dollars for the rest of this semester until my federal tax returns come.

Lord Abortion 03-20-2006 12:26 PM

I never got EMA...something to do with the calculation of both my dad's remarriage and my mum's meaning an increase in household income...

Jev 03-20-2006 12:26 PM

It'll make up for them having nicer things than me for the past 16 years :p

To Josh n stuff.

Josh 03-20-2006 12:37 PM

EMA ftw :)
heh, that's the way to view it Happy. although i still never really have any money, i have a car to run, and now i remember how much it costs to have a gf, when you're going into town with them weekly :-/
also, she wants me to meet her parents next weekend, and we've only been going out for 11 days so far.

this will be the first time i've listened to disc 2 all the way through i think. it's good, but disc 1 > disc 2.

Lord Abortion 03-20-2006 12:57 PM

Lord no, I much prefer Disk two...have you listened to the LATB versions of half of them?
Absolutely Godly!

Solitary shell and Goodnight kiss are two of my favourite DT songs.

I just played Raining blood on the drums while I was waiting for my connection to come back...

Yup, it is...

I have quite a large room, but I take full advantage of it, so I have a drumkit, chest of drawers, computer, bed(well, duh) and lots of bookshelves all in there.

NP-Judas Priest-Angel I <3 this song.

Chicken Madras.

Microwaved, but beggars can't be choosers, especially since there's no Indian takeaways for 6 miles and I haven't got any money :(

In my house, someone left the freezer open so everything deforsted. This basically means it's a pizza, pies, chips and chicken nuggets bonanza at the moment. Today I took a pizza to school, and I'm gonna do the same tomorrow and I might take some chicken nuggets along aswell.
