Anxious 11-11-2005 08:49 PM

They are a new name for comic books, cause the phrase "comic book" is considered uncool I guess. And they are in paperback /novel format.

The Great Decay 11-11-2005 08:54 PM

Really? I thought they were two completely different things.

Anxious 11-11-2005 09:06 PM

I think they are basicly the same thing. People would argue against that, and I'm not really a fan of comic books in the first place.

Comic books tend to be more cartoony, whereas graphic novels are usually darker more like a book. Sin City. That's a graphic novel.

/mediocre explanation

Tonite myself, 1 other lady and 5 boys drove around in a 1974 Torino........in our underwear. It was badass.

Metallica/Rolling Stones in 2 days :D:D:D

Zappa 11-12-2005 01:25 AM

I saw a band from Milwaukee tonight at my local venue, and as part of their big "finale," one of the guitarists played a Metallica solo. It was funny, because he was all "thanks everyone for coming...[blah blah blah]...here's a Metallica solo," and he just whipped it out. They weren't a metal band, by the way. More of an indie rock sort of deal.

Zmev 11-12-2005 01:32 AM

Solo from which song?

The NPC 11-12-2005 01:43 AM
Solo from which song?
The one where that guy plays behind blue eyes.
Metallica/Rolling Stones in 2 days :D:D:D
Wow, that sounds big. When the Stones came to Pittsburgh, it was Pearl Jam who opened for them. There's a much greater gap in album sales between the two, not to mention that PJ supposedly has some sort of activist stance on everything. At least in your show you have two bands who have no qualms about raking in the dough (I would call them sellouts but that's a bit negative).

Zmev 11-12-2005 02:18 AM

Both of their glory days are far past.
Sin City was such a good movie.
I got bored the second time.

I watched Switchblade Romance the other evening, it's brutal.

Interstate 11-12-2005 08:38 AM

Walking back to my house at 3am when you only have a leather jacket for warmth = not fun. (especially when you've had a few drinks)

6Stringer 11-12-2005 10:15 AM

Last night I was outside from about 6:30 - 10:30 with only a sweatshirt. It was horrible.

JonM 11-12-2005 10:21 AM

I watched Shawn Of The Dead last night for the first time in a while. I really like that movie.

lilsolsman 11-12-2005 10:23 AM

I'm going to go see Crash tonight, is it any good?

JonM 11-12-2005 10:26 AM

It's one of my favorite movies ever, but people who are uncomfortable talking about race don't like it because it makes them afraid for their supremacy.
