Agreed.
uno does three
That was the worst attempt at unos, dos, tres ever.

YouGottaBeCrazy 10-04-2005 05:14 PM
I'll wait for the album release. It just wouldn't be the same without the cover art and all that.
True. I'm just so excited to hear what music they come up with next, but I think I'd wait too. I can't wait to see what artwork they use next. More Alex Grey stuff, perhaps?

I give up easily *shrugs*

Syncratic 10-04-2005 06:38 PM

I'm hoping the album doesn't cost diecinueve dolares y noventa y nueve centavos.

Haha....Spanish 2, putas.

Daven 10-04-2005 06:41 PM

El Espaņol es muy facil, deberian de aprender otro idioma. Como aleman o portugues.

YouGottaBeCrazy 10-04-2005 09:06 PM

Yo hablo un poco Espaņol. Me gusta Tool mucho. Me gusta musicianforums.com mucho. No me gusta hablar en Espaņol porque en Espaņol, yo hablo similar a un noob. :upset:

Huber 10-04-2005 09:08 PM

I took 3 years of spanish. I can read it pretty well, but I'm terrible at making my own sentances.

Txus 10-04-2005 09:17 PM

^^ Para mi el espaņol es muy facil porque es mi idioma natal, me da tanta risa ver americanos intentar hablarlo porque tienen un acento bien divertido al hablarlo.....bueno creo que casi nadie va a entender lo que puse ahi

No thanks, I had some Golden Crisp before, so I'm pretty full now.

Darkness 10-04-2005 09:35 PM

Yes... well...
We should make an official rule for this thread. If there is a leak, whoever downloads it has to stay out of this thread.
In regards to this, maybe we should have the first post of the thread edited?

Moses 10-04-2005 09:41 PM

How about a new rule........

NO SPANISH!!!!!!!!

Hah, just kidding ya bastards.

Callate, pinche nativo.

I'd still buy the album for 19.99, though. I think I'd spend up to 30 for it, then I'd have to just download it. :upset: No way in hell will a new cd be sold for 30 bucks though. At least for another 50 years, and that will be caused by inflation.

I hope..

Also, I'd be in on the "you download leak, you no enter thread" rule. :)

I honestly doubt it would get leaked though. I'm sure Tool protect their music like more carefully than a mother protects her eggs.

Unless it's a double album.

*teh shiftiez*

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-04-2005 10:38 PM

Yeah, I paid $35 for The Wall, so I'd definitely pay a bit more than that for a double album. I'd rather pay 40 for a dual album than 10 for a single, to tell you the truth. :-D

Killtacular 10-04-2005 10:39 PM

I'd actually rather it not be a double album. All double albums suffer from "filler-itis" and I'd rather not Tool succumb to it too.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-04-2005 10:44 PM

Tool are basically the definition of "Filler-itis."

That sure is a long list of filler, my friend. :-/

Killtacular 10-04-2005 10:47 PM

A great deal of those are supposed to be filler, though. I'm talkin' 'bout crap songs that are just there to take up space... kinda like those.. but longer, and not as... fillerish.

Or something.

Dried Muffin Remnants 10-04-2005 10:48 PM

Like Disgustipated.

Killtacular 10-04-2005 10:53 PM

Kinda like that, but it's more of a hidden track than full on filler.

YDload 10-04-2005 11:05 PM

Filler tracks aren't as bad as filler within a track. Takes longer to skip through dammit!

The Mars Volta had this problem with their latest album (even though I liked the parts with actual music in them), and I see it in Tool on songs like "Reflection" "Ticks and Leeches," and "Third Eye." Okay we get it, Danny Carey probably can't keep up his incredible drum parts for eight minutes straight, but why should the rest of the song suffer? At least, that's how I feel about it.

Killtacular 10-04-2005 11:10 PM

Reflection and Third Eye were fine, but T&L did have a bit of filler.

And TMV are horrendously good at the "four minutes of random ambience" thing.

Pauly 10-04-2005 11:15 PM

I think the fillers within the song are great, really builds up an atmosphere. The solo in Ticks and leeches after the long filler is awesome, it wouldn't be half as effective without the build up.
That's my opinion though.

[Edit] And the live version of Pushit is awesome for this reason as well.

Adam Jones is GOD 10-05-2005 01:24 AM

Filler tracks are a great album breaker and add that extra bit to an album. Unlike most most people, I dont want track after track of the same style, and bands that at least vary their sound (like Tool, dont panic) can get away with it more.

But filler tracks are fun if done right, and are better on an album than some half hearted B-side.

corporalclegg 10-05-2005 02:10 AM

Is Tool recording? They better be, because I'll lose faith in them around December and begin listen Natalie Merchant and drinking Boone's Farms and Pabst Blue Ribbon and crying while masterbating.
