I heard about that , you know what they said about you?
They were talking about my new avatar or something. My Cap'n Crunch one, I think. Then they were talking about how me and Madey live in Washington, and I'm not sure what they talked about for the other 15 minutes of the phone call. :-/

And you can hide your IP with a proxy. I guess it scrambles your IP, so every time you log on it's different. This could be totally wrong, but that's what someone told me yesterday.

Six Foot Revolver 08-09-2005 09:36 AM
do you!? :p

Did CG said what he said during a chat or in a post? Because if he was banned because of something he said in a chat then this unfair...
He got banned because he rang up Madey on her phone. All the stuff he said about rape etc. was in posts

Then I assume they caught the guy?

Good night anyway.

I still remain slightly unconvinced... even though the IP thing checks out... if it is, which we are fairly positive it is... hm...

in other news Band, practice was cool, we seem to be really coming together, but still without a second guitarist :(

Holy Crap.

My friend just got her lisence and she was trying to get me to go with her (in CT it's illegal to have a freind in the car until you have your license for 6 months) So I said no, she called me a ***** and left. A few minutes ago she called me to tell me that she swerved off the road and crashed her car. I would have been SO. SCREWED.

Anyone been in this kind of a situation before?

Wahah that's insane. I was just telling some mxers about one of my driving expiriences last night, but I'll share it again anyways!

Here I was driving down my road on my way to pick up a friend. Here in Washington, we also have the 6 month restricted license rule, and I turned on the highway, about half a mile away from her house, and BAM! I got pulled over for going 56 in a 35. I didn't get a ticket, but if I had been driving her, man, I would have gotten something for sure. :p

Your story owns mine

Moses 08-09-2005 12:22 PM

56 in a 35? Well I guess that's not that surprising since you live in the country, right? If I did that here in the city I'd get ticketed for sure.

I've never actually known anyone who got caught driving a friend around, but it still scares me

When we were in Spain with my school all of my roomates had a nightly habit of getting drunk, I did it one of the nights, but one night I was late to go down to their room because I was having a long discussion about Classic Rock with someone in another room (haha) and all of my room mates got busted and almost got sent home at 5000$ a ticket
That was a close one

Dr. Jake Destructo 08-09-2005 12:24 PM

Well, the speed limit had just changed from 50 to 35, as I was entering city(psh, city my as!) limits, so I was really only 6 over. Still, I woulda given my self a ticket. :p

EDIT: My friend, who is Mormon, has gotten caught by his parents driving me 2 times. Once without a license(we were 15) and once when he had a restricted license. The first time, it was sometime in March, and it was pouring out rain, and we were planning on going to lunch with this older friend of ours, but his Subaru's transmission wouldn't shift out of park, so my friend took his brother's Honda to Taco Bell. His bro caught him, and his brother told on him!

i am the robots 08-09-2005 12:25 PM

Wow, they indeed got owned by the system.

Huh. Didn't see that one coming.

Kind of reminds me, my brother set up a Myspace account. But he doesn't have any pictures of himself. Instead, he posted a couple random pictures, and his own creation, the Werewolf Survival Guide: Chapter 1 - How To Spot a Werewolf.

The first picture is Henry Kissinger from the 70's. Caption reads: "Henry Kissinger is not a werewolf."

Second picture is of Robin Williams. Caption: "Robin Williams is also not a werewolf. Good guess, though."

Third picture is one of a werewolf. Caption: "Donald J. GRRRIeatyourflesh is not a werewolf."

Fourth picture is the scary-looking drummer from the band Cold. Caption: "The drummer from Cold is indeed a werewolf."

If you couldn't tell by now, my family is pretty warped.

Dr. Jake Destructo 08-09-2005 12:32 PM

Yeah, his brother is one creepy dude. Jeff(The brother) is kind of a loserish guy, y'know, but Jon, my friend, is a pretty cool dude. Jeff is pretty smart, but he's just kind of not the social type, whereas Jon is quite the opposite. I think Jeff is, or was jealous of him, so he would get him in trouble as much as possible. I personally don't mind Jeff much, but most people just think he's a bit of a queer.
hahaha... that's great

Yes and no. It's hard to hold a conversation with me because he doesn't immerse himself in his hobbies the way I do. And what he does immerse himself in holds little interest to me more often than not.

And if you thought my temper was bad, his is even worse. The men in our family are all notoriously volatile, and for each of us there's something in particular that sets us off. In my father's case it's escessive noise. In my case it's malfunctioning technology. In my brother's case it's video games that seem to have vengeful AI.
Alex, did you check out my Rachmaninoff thread yet? I'm putting up the new one at midnight tonight.
Yeah, I did. I just don't have the disc space right now for uploads. I need to burn some DVDs to clear out these video files.
Alex- Wahah, that's awesome. Does your brother play an insturment of any sort?
He used to play cello. And although he is artistically inclined (like everyone else in this family), he never bothered to develop it.

Most of his creative expression these days is confined to his crude doodles of mini-comics. Perhaps the most famous of which is his "movie poster" for "Colonel Petie and His Flying Bovine."

You don't know how many times I've done that. :p My downloads usually go to a set file, and they've done it for so long, I don't even pay attention to where it's really being sent, and on occasion, I will hit "okay" to download even when it's in a different file that I'm not aware of.

Just do a search on your computer.

And if you still can't find it, cut what you found in the search and paste it where you want it.

I still have a hard time understanding why out all the words in that story, he had to take offense to a word he probably gets called many times in a day. And it's over the internet... Which lessens the meaning of the word even further.
