Reeeeeeeeeeefl.

"Wile E. Coyote, SUPER genius" material, if you ask me, heh.
Pittsburgh (isn't it just a poor man's Detroit?)
Uh.

Actually, forget it. Hakuna matata.
We have to deal with the definition of suck, and sorriest excuse for a baseball team ever over here.
Possibly, but man, is Safeco Field a nice park.

I never like Rasheed Marshall, he had the worst accuracy on the face of the planet.

 Seriously, you could at least get the name of the park right, unless you think I live in Seattle.

PNC Park

I've made like 15 small edits on this post.

Excuse me for getting confused. With the way you replied to Jake, it looked like you were from Washington as well.

And besides, the Mariners blow this year. So, I have a perfectly legit excuse.

Excuse me for not checking everyone's profiles and such.

EDIT: Forget it, I'm not going to try to explain myself right now. At least some of you got it.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-10-2005 10:17 PM

I would think that was directed at me(the safeco thing) but he quote you, jpj..

Didn't they all lose in the first round the last time they made the playoffs? :p
I don't think so, no.

Yeah, but they used to be really good.

Plus I, like every American male born in the 1980's, grew up worshipping Ken Griffey, Jr.

What happened, Griffey? What happened? :( :( :(
I don't think so, no.
Nuggets: Lose 4 games to 1 to the Spurs
Broncos: Got spanked in the Wild Card game by the Colts
Avalanche: Oh, they lost in R2. I think they lost in round 1 the year before, though
What, just to see the Pats win their third in a row while the Steelers don't even make the playoffs?
Why wouldn't the Steelers make it to the playoffs? They had the best record in the NFL last year, with a rookie QB no less. Roethlisberger will have his fingers filled to the nails with Super Bowl rings long after the Brady Bunch is "cancelled" from the playoffs.

See? I can make obtuse sports analogies too. Although I'm only a fan when the Steelers are winning, doesn't mean I can't try my hand at macho sports posturing.

I understand you now, but I stated I live by Pittsburgh, and just figured you saw it since you somehow manage to catch up on everthing in this thread.

The Ravens got scary-good in the offseason and the Steelers cut Big Ben's best bud Plaxico and replaced him with Cedrick Wilson (a guy the freaking Niners didn't even want), and they didn't do much to fix their secondary.

Ken who?

I know the nuggets did, but they're on an up slope from suckage, give em time. Broncos I thought made round 2, oops. Avs haven't lost in round 1 in forever I don't think. 2 was quite a shock as I recall, we usually make semis or better.

Illmatic 07-10-2005 10:27 PM

No, I think in 2003 they were like, the 2 seed and the Wild upset them in round 1.

Phun Phact: the Broncos have exactly zero playoff wins since the retirement of John Elway :eng101:

Was the 2 years ago? I thought that Wild spanking was last year...either way...

Yeah, but 2 years ago you can't blame em, we were on like...4th or 5th string quarterbacks by the end of the season.

Jom 07-10-2005 10:36 PM

I mean this in a joking way, of course, but hey Ray: you're becoming worse than Drew with the usage of the :eng101: smiley. Just make it your avatar or something, heh.
I understand you now, but I stated I live by Pittsburgh, and just figured you saw it since you somehow manage to catch up on everthing in this thread.
Yeah, I'm sorry about that and everything. It's just that I don't really remember things like that.

And, I bid you good night. I have to open at the restaurant tomorrow.

EDIT: Drew = The JoZ

Illmatic 07-10-2005 10:36 PM

No, last year the Sharks beat the Avs in round 1.

And no, the last two seasons Jake Plummer has been in the driver's seat for both of the Broncos' spectular playoff crashes.

Even if the reason you lost was because no one on your defense can stop the Colts' offense.

EDIT: Who's Drew, again?

EDIT II: Ohhhh

Hmmm...I forgot about that one.

Yeah, but that first one was exceptional circumstances, even if you disagree :p

It's ok, we've got a win comin', I feel it.

How was the first one exceptional circumstances? I remember like, two games before the playoffs started you guys CRUSHED the Colts on Sunday Night Football. Everyone expected you guys to beat them!

Nah, it was an even split as I recall, but the season was playe dwith many qbs, and Plummer wasn't the qb in the first Colts game. He had just come back from his injury to play the playoffs. Exceptional because there was no main qb all year, they switched every few games.

Illmatic 07-10-2005 10:49 PM
Exceptional because there was no main qb all year, they switched every few games.
Whaat?

Plummer was the QB for 10 or 11 games that year.

No way. He was out within the first half and came back for the playoffs.

Baseball is the coolest American sport. Let's go Mets! :p

Huh? Are you insane?

He went down in the middle of the season and the Broncos went like, 1-4. Then he came back, they righted themselves, and they went to the playoffs.

College basketball > pro basketball > baseball > pro football > college football > hockey

Dried Muffin Remnants 07-10-2005 11:01 PM

College basketball is by far the most enjoyable to watch...but after all - this is all subjective.

I'm just basing it on how excited I get for the seasons.
