The DS is some handheld 2-screen contraption that plays shiny games. Electroplankton is supposedly such a shiny game, and it's also sort of an instrument. Essentially, you push on the screen with the stylus, and these plankton react by making pitched noises. There's no actual objective aside from making pretty music. Everyone says it's wonderful.

"Ultra-mega" I think is my fav on there, looking forward to whenever El-P puts out a new one. He did some solid production on there.

Electroplankton sounds pretty cool just from that description. I remember there was a game for the PS2 called Rez that made music as you shot stuff up or something. Was pretty hard to play high, as I recall.

Hey everyone, I'm back from vacation. It was sweet.

To relate it to this site, I listened to plenty of music. I was at a beach in the Tampa Bay area (St. Pete Beach, facing the Gulf of Mexico). I could go out to it at night and just lie there listening to Minus The Bear. And in case you don't know, nothing says "beach at night" like that band. The songs were just so much more mindblowing in their natural setting; it was a great feeling :D

Well you could probably find Electroplankton on Amazon used or at a store like Gamestop. Sometimes in the near future a web browser is coming out with it. There are also alot of good games on it.

So I put a card in my bike spokes, now it sounds like a motorcycle. Hooray for bikes. Yes, I'm 18, so what.

haha yeah i was just listening to them on the ol' pod. intimacy is key i guess, but i had never listened to songs from [i]They Make Beer Commercials Like This[/i]. i had no idea how mind-blowing the "...Rob's Alien" song could be, so slow and drawn-out like that. great stuff.

Yes, MTB has a ton of excellent songs, the only thing that somewhat annoys me is how they throw instrumentals out of left field onto their albums. It's not like it's bad or anything, It just throws me off guard for a minute. Either way, they own.
