I refuse to look at pics of the inside packaging and s'hit. I'm saving that for when I buy the CD. Is there anything else there besides pics?

incubliss 04-24-2006 05:55 PM

Nah, just pics. Sorry man, don't want to spoil anything for you!

deadohiosky9 04-24-2006 05:56 PM

It's cool man.

Darkness 04-24-2006 05:56 PM

Theres another CD poking out on the right hand side.

deadohiosky9 04-24-2006 05:58 PM

Oh s'hit! Why does that dude have a CD anyways?

Daven 04-24-2006 05:59 PM

That could be the DVD!!!

That'd be great.

Otherside 04-24-2006 06:00 PM

I think that's on the desk, beneath the case :\

And that cd art looks like... gasp.. EVERY OTHER ART WEVE SEEN FROM THE ALBUM!!

Dr. Jake Destructo 04-24-2006 06:11 PM

I actually hadn't seen it until now.

/l8

Anyways, way to go Alex Grey.

incubliss 04-24-2006 06:23 PM

The guy confirmed there's only 1 CD. The one underneath the case on the right isn't anything to do with Tool.

sexymuffin 04-24-2006 06:37 PM

so I've listened to 10,000 days a few times now and i really enjoy it.

They really came up with something different this time. Maynard's vocals are used more as an instrument. He isn't the forefront in every song which is a pretty ballsy move and it works pretty well. I really enjoy this album over all and it's definately better than laturalus.

Aenima>10,000 Days>Undertow>Laturalus>Opiate

Ahh, I was hoping for a DVD
Ahh, I was hoping for a DVD
I still think/hope that there is one on the way.

Killtacular 04-24-2006 07:09 PM

There's always 10,000 Years. Whatever that may be.
I
Unfortunately, I was one of those who discovered Tool after their last launch. The excitment for this CD though is great..!

Sure, tons of people have heard the entire thing already, but I'm proud to say I'm riding on a high of wondering what the album is going to sound like to me. It is going to be a sweet, sweet moment indeed..
I am right beside you buddy. I discovered Tool in late 2002, so i havn't had the priviledge of waiting in wonder of what they will put out. I have never been more excited for a CD in my entire life.

heavy metal kid 04-24-2006 07:37 PM

to hear Tool's new album i need a good m4a to mp3 or anything WMP can play converter. Any recommendations?

incubliss 04-24-2006 07:53 PM

http://www.nch.com.au/switch/plus.html

You could just get Winamp, that plays m4a. Aswell as iTunes.

heavy metal kid 04-24-2006 07:58 PM

alright, thanks man. That was really helpful.

Otherside 04-24-2006 08:50 PM

So after listening to Aenima, I remembered how amazing H. is. The part in the middle with MJK softley singing is incredible.

deadohiosky9 04-24-2006 08:53 PM

H. is one of my favorite Tool songs. I'm rockin Undertow right now.

Daven 04-24-2006 09:06 PM

Reflection pwns everything. H. is incredibly good though.

Dr. Jake Destructo 04-24-2006 09:09 PM

Right in Two; now there's an amazing song.

I actually like both Reflection and H. quite a bit, but I still can't get over how badass Right in Two is. :-D

Daven 04-24-2006 09:11 PM

Right In Two is very good, i hadnt listened to it closely, but its amazing.

Otherside 04-24-2006 09:19 PM

Also, I'm really beginning to appreciate Carey more and more. I mean, I always knew he was great, but I guess since I havn't listened to Tool in quite a while, my friends constant whoring of Black/Death Metal bands with their generic-double-bass-centered drumwork really makes me appreciate Carey's finesse in a way I never have before. It's great :D

Doesn't this look like it should include another disc or dvd?

deadohiosky9 04-24-2006 09:33 PM

Right In Two just might be the best song on this album. I refuse to click that link above me.

I don't think so, i think that package is exagerated like the other Tool cd cases, like the multi covers of Aenima and the weird booklet of Lateralus.

Dr. Jake Destructo 04-24-2006 09:42 PM

Check this out, I layered Viginti Tres over (-) Ions.

I'm loving this album more and more everyday really.

I DO wish there were more drum parts like Reflection and Ticks And Leeches though, God those were awesome!

Dr. Jake Destructo 04-24-2006 10:24 PM

Yeah, there aren't really any parts that just blow me away technically like Ticks and Leeches did.

That kind of metal has some of the most painfully boring drums ever.

I get nothing out of it.

Werny 04-25-2006 03:02 AM
Intension is so very underrated.
My favourite song at the moment. It flows so well, going for 7 minutes and never getting boring. I love the singing, it's my second favourite thing about it (nothing tops the awesome melodies).

Spiritofmosa 04-25-2006 03:21 AM

the new site intro is so cool.. could that be footage for the new vid?

Spiritofmosa 04-25-2006 06:11 AM

mmm i love dredg... the drumming plus piano thing that dino does is just awsome

kurrpt 04-25-2006 06:44 AM

i usually skip intension...

UpperDecker 04-25-2006 07:14 AM

I really can't get over the fact that Tool copied their own riffs in these new songs. I'm listening to Rosetta Stoned and at about 3:00 you can basically sing "You opened my eye" to the riff. I just don't get it.

kurrpt 04-25-2006 07:35 AM

copied their own riffs?

its not like Adam Jones has this amazing bag of trick licks he can continually open to come up with these off the wall riffs. Hes basically been doing the same thing since day 1
