Yeah I guessed it from the start.

More Eyes of the World bootlegs.

http://web1.nugs.net/stash.asp
Shi it didn't work but all you do is go to song then scroll down to Eyes of The World and click on it then click search.

A bunch of versions come up.
But, the number one was no suprise at all.
Only because it is truly the most shocking. I mean you could argue Hendrix or sombody who overdoesed, but John wans't into heavy drugs, and the fact he was shot nobody saw that coming.

Badmoon 03-11-2005 10:52 PM

Though it may sound very expected...

Anyone else surprised Garcia's death wasn't on there?

Oh well the Jerry said Marijuana exibit A while holding a joint on the Woodstock movie, and on the album the threw it in at the end of Country Joe and the Fish's "Rock and Soul Music" just a little Jerry humor.

Ah, it just seemed kind of random.

Festival Express > Woodstock

Woodstock 03-11-2005 11:36 PM

I remember seeing Jerry do that in the movie.

You'll probably get a bunch of shred whores that will never sell 10000 albums in their lives because their music sucks.

My choices will be on what nice sounds come out of their amps and/or sound holes.

Umm yeah, the greatful dead is cool :)

I had the chance to get "songs from the wood" by Jethro Tull today. Is it any good? ( in comparision to Thick as a brick, Aqualung and Stand Up?). I'm figuring that there would be more flute playing than usual :/

I really like Woodstock but I've never seen Festival Express so I can't disagree.

Festival Express > Woodstock
That's a big statement right there.

Woodstock was more about the hippies than the music though. So it may be true.

Maybe music wise, but Woodstock represents a lot more.

Done. I might have to change a few though, cause I had to fill some spots becasue I couldn't think of 25.

Broken Arrow 03-12-2005 12:08 AM

I just downloaded that Dead show from The Fillmore East in '71 with Duane Allman. I can send it to people if they want but I'm putting this baby onto a cd.

John Cipollina

I've heard that show, it's pretty good.

Neil Young and Eric Clapton are playing at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year.

Will it be televised?

Can you change my Randy Bachman to Robert Johnson? I was going to put him and B.B. but then I thought it had to be R&M.

I'm supprised nobody else but me has put Muddy Waters in the top 25. I feel he has done quite a bit for rock don't you guys?

Badmoon 03-12-2005 12:35 AM

There are other who have done more. And just because he is influential is no reason to put him on.

pigonthewing82 03-12-2005 12:38 AM

That depends on your standereds for what makes a great guitar player. My top standered is exploring a new idea that influences generations to come. I think Waters certainly did that seeing how there is NO rock band that cannot trace their influence back to him.

MalcolmYoungRock 03-12-2005 10:26 AM

I wanna see the rock and roll hall of fame, it's next saturday isn't it?

Yeah, he was influential but there are better guitarists than him.

Jam2Me 03-12-2005 10:46 AM

This is the best Canadian export I've heard in a while:
