Darkwave is really a movement/scene.

There's darkwave like DVKE that shares a lot of ambient elements.

I'm just saying usually when you guys talk about "ambient" you're talking about songs that sound like album intros expanded into extra-long blurbs of wind noises and casios.

Darkwave is pretty much a mixture of many other similar and related musical genres. It is difficult to find **** that you can call strictly Darkwave.

I just call everything with keyboards Electronic. <-<

Yeah I guess, there are lots of things I call ambient. Like Symbiosis, Mortiis, Eluvium, later Burzum and Ildjarn, Undiscovered Moons of Saturn and so on.

Then you have the strange stuff like Northaunt that Tyler is speaking of, which I find very boring.

Darkwave bands are some of the weirdest people out there if you ask me. Like Sopor Aeternus.

Tyler I know it's simple music and it wasn't hard to make. But I still like it a lot and think it is composed very well and is quality ambient. To each his own though.
