Santa Cruz is awesome. It was so nice there. Santa Barbara is pretty cool if you're into the beach town scene. Both are scenic and gorgeous though. Tough call. How are you still undecided?

siq. If we still had rep, I'd give you my phone number. I've got calculus everyday at 11 in the phys-atmo sci fi action thriller building. I've gotta get my dad to ship my bike unless I can find somewhere to get a cool, functional, cheap road bike. Girl Talk would be fun too. You down for Mount Eerie and Why? I don't remember when they're playing but it's pretty soon. Mogwai too. Do you know anywhere that sells tickets besides that Bookman's place? The store rules but it's kinda far until I get my wheels.

Cafe Jinx down on 4th ave a little north of 7th street, but their hours are pretty sporadic. also if its just a show at the rialto, you can just walk there and buy the ticket, its not too far, just walk south on euclid to broadway and follow that west until you get to the rialto.

I've been to Santa Barbara and it was pretty ****, but I don't like parties and lots of other things so it could be alright if you're into that whole scene, LoL!

yeah, Jinx sounds closer. I don't know where any of the venues (mainly Rialto and the Rock, that's where they all seem to be) are though. I'm joooooooooe1 on AIM. there's 9 o's in that.

Well I like Santa Cruz because it has beaches, its not too far from my house, and it had the Catalyst which brings in some good groups to play and I dig a good music scene in a town. Santa Barbara on the other hand is the place everyone is telling me to be for its beaches and nice weather. I'm leaning more towards Santa Barbara but I'll let the campus tours/feel I get from each place decide.

When I did the tour at Santa Cruz, the girl that walked us around stood up on this fountain and was sooooo close to falling backwards into it. You could hear the whole group go "awwwwww" when she regained her balance.
