Not at all. Infact it more so refers to the people.

The dressed in all black, CoF/HIM/MCR shirts, eye liner, black nails, hanging around hot topic finding 10,000 ways to say "i hate you rents".

It's the ****ty bands that fall and feed into that. CoF being one.

Confessed2005 07-01-2006 03:26 AM

CoB is FuN = so I just chuck on any of their albums.

I've realized something very important

Lake Bodom is by far the best song from Children Of Bodom.

It has an incredibly amazing lead intro. Catchy verses. A very heavy power chord section in the chorus. Excellent soloing.

It is indeed, CoB's best tune.

MRDuCran 07-01-2006 04:17 AM

It's played in 6 different keys, too.

Corkofski 07-01-2006 04:25 AM

i love that song...

they'd better play it in november

argh.... i have to learn more theory. yesterday i met my guitar teacher again and we talked about music, guitar, cob and next week i will take some lessons again.
... at least i want do understand whats going on in songs.

I'm Charming 07-01-2006 06:04 AM

I'm taking Music Fundementals in the fall. It's beginning theory. It should be fun.

I honestly don't want to learn an extensive amount of theory.

I'd rather play what I feel, not be a robot.

Just like, how many minutes in my life have I spent learning about time sigs?

0.

Can I play fine in most? Sure. I just listen to the song and play w/e til I have it. I don't need a couple numbers telling me "do this".

I've always been fine doing it too. Listen to the song. How hard is that?

Apocalyptic Raids 07-01-2006 06:19 AM

I don't really like theory. I understand how it is useful, but I don't really have the patience for it.

I know a bunch of scales etc and I'm fine with that.

With my teacher I either learn a song or we do some improvising stuff.

MRDuCran 07-01-2006 06:24 AM

I guess I have it good then. I can learn theory stuff pretty quick and easy. I love using theory.

blue3 07-01-2006 06:26 AM

ugh theory. I learned a lot of scales last week but half of those I don't even remember now.

i think i will buy (together with my DXMG) a Digitech RP-80 guitar processor, link

what do you say to this digitech? any better recommendations? it shouldn't cost more than 80Euro, and my guitar teacher uses the same. well, the most important thing is that it has a drumcomputer (and yes, effects too :p ).

I'm Charming 07-01-2006 07:33 AM

Effects are lame.

I have excellent tone. A few days ago I cracked the secret to tone. lol. I lowered the gain just a bit, lowered the dept of the distortion and raised the treble a tad.

Now it's thick, heavy and totallly awesome.

repcak 07-01-2006 07:50 AM

yeah, but you will get only a good tone with an good amp - i have a marshall mg 15 cdr.

and one of the things i hate is the monotone "click" of my metronome... i hate it. so a drumcomputer would be a great help for me!

MRDuCran 07-01-2006 07:56 AM

I need a good amp, but first I need a larger room.

I'm Charming 07-01-2006 08:04 AM

I have a Marshall. I love it. It's just a matter of figuring it out. Finding a heavy as hell yet smooth tone.

MRDuCran 07-01-2006 08:07 AM

I'll probably get a Marshall too, but my focus is on my technique. Good playing can shine through a crap amp so that's what I'm aiming for.

I'm Charming 07-01-2006 08:11 AM
I'll probably get a Marshall too, but my focus is on my technique. Good playing can shine through a crap amp so that's what I'm aiming for.
So you think it's a wise idea to get a crappy amp, so you need to work harder?

That makes no sense.

Apocalyptic Raids 07-01-2006 08:13 AM

I think he meant that his technique takes priority over the quality of his equipment.
I think he meant that his technique takes priority over the quality of his equipment.
I got that part. I mean, no matter how polished you are/want to be; you'd want a great amp.

orrr...maybe that's just me.

If it sounds wayyy better, than it's more enjoyble to play/hear, therefor I'll work harder and play more
