As it has been for the past two weeks.
2muchket! 01-13-2010 12:53 PM

Nah rapidshare's been missing me off.

Mediafire is loads better anyways.

beans 01-13-2010 12:54 PM

i always try to find whatever im looking for there first

HighandDriving 01-13-2010 02:32 PM

"Whitemare is a hardcore band from Brighton, England. Featuring Matt, former vocalist of British mathcore-gone-Underoath-rip-off Architects."

Lol gj Mappy.

witchxrapist 01-13-2010 02:33 PM

Haha, it was necessary. I get emails from random people saying that they like my write ups because they're entertaining not tl;dr, and then I go :').

2muchket! 01-13-2010 02:33 PM

Even I laughed at that and I'm an architects fan boy.

witchxrapist 01-13-2010 02:38 PM

I was an Architects fanboy, but then Hollow Crown disappointed me.

I mean it's good, but it's not to par with their demo and their first two.

And it didn't have To The Death with Sam on vox which pissed me off.

2muchket! 01-13-2010 02:41 PM

Never heard their demo, but I've told it's just songs that appeared on Nightmares.

I enjoyed Hollow Crown, and the songs really are excellent live. Just on record doesn't stand upto Nightmares or Ruin.

SmurkinGherkin 01-13-2010 02:43 PM

Nightmares>all

2muchket! 01-13-2010 02:52 PM

On par with Ruin for me.

witchxrapist 01-13-2010 02:53 PM

I like Ruin just little more than Nightmares just because of how balls out insane Sam is on that album.

Txus 01-13-2010 02:54 PM

Mappy

give me your email if yo want new extortion

witchxrapist 01-13-2010 02:55 PM
Never heard their demo, but I've told it's just songs that appeared on Nightmares.
It is, but the point is that they started out that ridiculously good.

And Matt's vocals sound rawer.

Txus 01-13-2010 02:57 PM

because there's no link

2muchket! 01-13-2010 02:58 PM

No metalcore has really been catching my attention lately.

Meh new Throats is occupying me atleast (very good UK hardcore mappy if you're interested).

witchxrapist 01-13-2010 03:03 PM

texas in july's new album's alright, if you want august burns red worship

but it's kind of gay because they're from the same town

their first album sounds a lot like my old band which i always like because i loved that band and our drummer lost our recordings, aside from the three on our myspace
because there's no link
fair enough

HighandDriving 01-13-2010 03:04 PM

New Throats is ok, kinda meh.

And I love Matt's vocals on Nightmares sooo good, especially when he does the quick cleans, like on In The Desert.

phil_ares 01-13-2010 03:09 PM
texas in july's new album's alright, if you want august burns red worship
yeah and less talented.

witchxrapist 01-13-2010 03:16 PM

That's a stupid argument for why you should and shouldn't like something.

And they're on par with ABR (skillwise) when Thirll Seeker came out so whatever.

Pete 01-13-2010 03:20 PM

talent is a good argument

HighandDriving 01-13-2010 03:21 PM

That's a feat.

witchxrapist 01-13-2010 03:23 PM
talent is a good argument
They write catchy songs, who cares if they can't play their instruments as well.

Pete 01-13-2010 03:23 PM

then theyre talented songwriters
That's a feat.
sure smells liek it

jrowa001 01-13-2010 03:35 PM
texas in july's new album's alright, if you want august burns red worship
i found a couple bands that are full of ABR worship that are decent. Walking With Strangers and another band who's name for some reason i cant remember, but i have the link for their album on my laptop

witchxrapist 01-13-2010 03:40 PM

Word. Within The Ruins is the best ABR worship band, but that's because they do their own thing too.

phil_ares 01-13-2010 05:38 PM
That's a stupid argument for why you should and shouldn't like something.

Lol? Talent is a stupid argument for why I shouldn't like them?

I hope that was a shitty attempt at trolling.

nevertoolate 01-13-2010 05:40 PM

he can't help himself phil

xMalcolmXx 01-13-2010 06:45 PM

within the ruins are pretty cool dudes

witchxrapist 01-13-2010 06:55 PM
Lol? Talent is a stupid argument for why I shouldn't like them?

I hope that was a poopty attempt at trolling.
no seriously, how do you measure how much more talented one band is than another?

and its like, august burns red is more technically proficient maybe, but its still a dumb reason to dislike a band

anyway, texas in july's first album is a lot better than their new one

kind of lame that they never came to allentown until they got signed, it wouldve been cool to play shows in shitty small venues with them

HighandDriving 01-13-2010 09:19 PM

how do you measure how much more talented one band is than another?

I guess the only way to judge a bands talent is how proficient they're on their releases and live shows but even that's hard to judge cause great musicians don't necessary perform to show off how complex their song writing abilities are.

Still that said Dave of Botch (ya ya) is a much more talented guitarist then almost every metalcore guitarist (even kurt). Show me a song as complex and brutal as Transitions From Persona To Object, which is probably the best metalcore song ever written. He was probably the same age if not younger than the ABR boys. And after he was done slaying in the metalcore realm he kills it in a indie band.

Whatever I'm going off on a tangent but ya Dave is probably my favourite guitarist.

Nepenthe 01-13-2010 09:54 PM

yeah man wouldnt it be awesome to suck his d

HighandDriving 01-13-2010 10:10 PM

Seriously.

2muchket! 01-14-2010 08:22 AM

Listening to TEOAT's debut album again.

Would be so much better if the vocals were different.

witchxrapist 01-14-2010 09:39 AM

Best guitarist ever is Wil Killingsworth, Orchid, Wolves, Bucket Full Of Teeth, and Ampere are all 100% win.

HighandDriving 01-14-2010 10:00 AM

Wil Killingsworth is def one of the best screamo guitarist, though I'd say Josh Jakubowski (Hot Cross, Joshua Fit for Battle, Neil Perry) is better.
