yea true about the hot bitc'hes part... but it is hollister though. i wouldn't wanna work there. apply at a grocery store, those jobs are the best! i just got a job at a grocery store today.

NewKindofArmy03 07-27-2005 03:48 PM
I just spent 2 hours at Sam Ash/Guitar Center. Man does my guitar/amp suck. I cannot wait to buy a new guitar.
I need a new guitar too, I just don't know what's good and what isn't. I guess i'll do the same and just see what I like.

shane italian 07-27-2005 03:48 PM

I don't see a problem with Hollister, I'm not that into their clothes, but it seems like a chill job and it's second best to American Eagle.

All depends on what your style is, but the easiest choice is usually an SG or LP, since they can play a good amount of different stuff. I was playing ESP LTD EC-1000, sounds awesome, Aaron from Bane uses one. GC had it for 200 bucks cheaper than normal, but I don't have the money yet.

ZERO TOLERENCE July 27, 04:23PM

For the past eight years Hellfest has maintained an almost spotless safety record—less a very minor setback last year. This year, Hellfest has made the decision to make adjustments to our safety policy. This year’s motto—ZERO TOLERENCE. Hellfest takes our fans safety as a serious matter. The bands support it, so should you. We've all heard the speech from the pit, you know, the one found in almost all bands hardcore handbook that starts like this—"We're all family here. If someone falls down, you pick them up." We live by that, but we are very aware that not everyone is always 100% willing to cooperate. We're not naive and we know you aren't either.

In the past Hellfest has had the t-shirt enforced security on site to ensure everyone’s safety, this year we've upped the anty. We understand with the growing numbers and popularity of Hellfest, our security needed an upgrade. This year we've not only welcomed back our faithful t-shirt security to enforce safety on and around all stage areas, but we’ve enlisted armed security and police officers stationed at all other locations, available within arms reach in case of an emergency. The increased security isn't to ruin anyone's fun, but to keep the hardcore scene about things the scene was built on: music, ethics, DIY attitude and the family mentality.

Hellfest fans are on the top of our list. We want the best bands, skateboarders, tattoo artists, merchandise, catering and above all else, the best security. In case there’s any confusion on our definition of ZERO TOLERENCE, we offer you an easy to understand list of consequences. The first incident of disorderly conduct will result in the ejection of all parties involved, arrests will be made and you will receive a fine up to a possible $1000. The Sovereign Bank Arena has welcomed Hellfest with open arms, let’s show them the utmost respect from the hardcore scene. Jail is one place the Hellfest and Sovereign Bank Arena staffs don’t want to see you on the weekend of Hellfest. Whether you purchased a three-day pass or a one day ticket, we don't want any unnecessary incidents happening what cause anyone to miss the most talked about festival of the summer.

Yeah, I was thinking of getting an SG since the reviews I read are great. Right now I have about 300 to spend on a guitar, i'm gonna save a little more though.

I need to find a band. It's hard finding kids my age.

shane italian 07-27-2005 03:56 PM

The arena lifestyle welcomes Hellfest.

Yeah, I think Epi SG's have bumped up to 400 now, which is gay. I still can't find kids for a band ether.

NewKindofArmy03 07-27-2005 04:08 PM

I know you can get the cheaper Gibson SG for 600 or so, but is it worth it to pay the extra 200?

ThePassionOfTheKasey 07-27-2005 04:23 PM

I'd just go for a g-400. They're about $400 right?

Reiner, are you a power chord kid or dyou like to **** it up a bit?

RetiredAt21 07-27-2005 04:43 PM

Get an Ibanez. I have an Ibanez Prestige, it sounds fantastic.

NewKindofArmy03 07-27-2005 04:50 PM

I've started to use a ton of palm-muting lately in whatever I write lately, I love it.

Nataroo 07-27-2005 04:53 PM

Ive been tastefully deploying sweep picking. Its a total bitch.

NewKindofArmy03 07-27-2005 04:54 PM

I still haven't tried to learn sweep picking, I wouldn't be able to do it right now anyway.

Berserker! 07-27-2005 05:04 PM

I'm mostly a classical player but my theory knowledge is horseshit

Nataroo 07-27-2005 05:09 PM

I know hardly any theory, Its all about technique.

NewKindofArmy03 07-27-2005 05:09 PM

1-day Hellfest tickets come out to be $51 and i'd need to get them before August 3rd or 4th because after that, they go up.

Berserker! 07-27-2005 05:11 PM

Yeah, my technique's quite good though. I'm working on grades 4/5 now. I'll probably quit lessons at 6. I'll still play the pieces but there won't be anything after grade 6 that I won't be able to teach myself. I would have learned enough.

shane italian 07-27-2005 05:16 PM

My Sink With Cali 2 day pass was $31.

NewKindofArmy03 07-27-2005 05:20 PM

It's expensive, but I wanna see Lifetime.

Yeah, any my 4 day pass to Pointless Fest was $40.

shane italian 07-27-2005 05:20 PM

What was the lineup?

Chiller_Than_Most 07-27-2005 05:22 PM

Sink With Cali line up is sick.

RetiredAt21 07-27-2005 05:28 PM

I wanna go to that.

NewKindofArmy03 07-27-2005 05:30 PM
Reiner, are you a power chord kid or dyou like to **** it up a bit?
I mainly play powerchords due to the nature of playing hardcore, but I love playing metal riffs and stuff. I need to learn more metal.

NewKindofArmy03 07-27-2005 05:50 PM

What kind of metal?

Let's Chop Cats! 07-27-2005 05:51 PM

I'm not into a whole lot really, just some trash stuff and some Killswitch Engage type stuff. I want to get into more metal, but all th soloing is just so boring to me. I like riffs, not solos.

Black Dahlia Murder songs have sick riffs. Check out Closed Casket Reqiuem.

NewKindofArmy03 07-27-2005 05:55 PM

I can't stand BDMs vocalist. they're alright though.

Thrash is mostly what I play too, because of the riffs. Lamb of God have some really good riffs, but you already know them.

Chiller_Than_Most 07-27-2005 05:55 PM

BDM is fun live.

Let's Chop Cats! 07-27-2005 05:57 PM

Blacklabel is fun to play. I need to listen to more LoG.

Chiller_Than_Most 07-27-2005 05:58 PM

AHHHHH!!!! LoG is teeeerrrrrriiiibbbbblllleeeee, one of my friends is real into them.

NewKindofArmy03 07-27-2005 06:01 PM

They rule, catchy and awesome riffs.

JACK! 07-27-2005 06:01 PM

I still love BDM, but nowhere near as much as I used to.

NewKindofArmy03 07-27-2005 06:17 PM

Aww, my computer froze and now all my downloads are gone.
