Richard Lloyd - Field of Fire
Ex-Television guitarist. Not a good album, the guitar playing is pretty great at times but it's really uninspired and stuff. The lyrics and drumming are terrible too |
Pharoahe Monch - Desire
|
Hey guys should I go see Dylan? I don't want to pay $165 for good seats, so I'd be getting the cheap ones at $85. It's still a lot of money though, especially with The Cure and Dinosaur Jr. coming soon as well. I don't know. It's probably not even worth going if I get shitty seats and I hear he's really hit or miss live, but still, it's Dylan.
|
Go, but not if it means you can't get tickets for The Cure and Dino J.
|
I wouldn't go tbh. Too expensive
|
Same, I hear he doesnt preform well these days. I'd only go unless you are a huge fan.

Dizzee Rascal - Maths + English
Fennesz / Sakamoto - Cendre Delicate, beautiful and due to Fennesz work, even frothy - given the nature of the project (piano/electronics) if you're interested in some modern ambient, give it a spin. Worthwhile. |
Fennesz is cool.
Beastie Boys - The Mix-Up Meg Baird - Dear Companion |
I really want some Fennesz. I'll probably get Endless Summer
|
Definitely. Endless Summer and Venice by Fennesz are amazing. His Play EP is fascinating as well - amazingly worthwhile and forward thinking electronic artist.

Yo La Tengo - And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside-Out
Kronos Quartet - Performs Philip Glass |
Miles Davis - Kind of Blue
While I'm spazzing out and trying to get my essay done that's due tommarow... with 3 more pages to go :/ |
3 pages is easy.
Still 65DaysofStatic. |
David Cross- Shut Up You ****ing Baby!
Obligatory since I'm watching all of the Arrested Developments in order. |
Yo La Tengo - I Can Hear The Heart Beating As One
|
Listening to that right now.
|
I like the song with the crickets on that album. I remember two or three songs on it really suck and the rest were awesome.
|
"Spec Bebop" and their cover of "We're an American Band" can be grating sometimes.
they're a perfect nighttime band though. |
Sunset Notes
I'm probably the last one to listen to this. It's fantastic. |
Eluvium - An Accidental Memory In Case Of Death
Eluvium - Lambent Material Digging the first more than the second, I prefer his solo piano work. |
It's one of his better ones.
|
Rites of Spring - End on End
|
"Spec Bebop" and their cover of "We're an American Band" can be grating sometimes.
they're a perfect nighttime band though.
is that really a cover? wikipedia says that two other songs on the album are, but even though it has the same title as a Grand Funk Railroad song it doesnt sound even remotely similar. the structure's all different |
I dunno, I always assumed it was.
|
Speaking of Yo La Tengo doing covers, I lmao'd when I heard their take on a Beastie Boys song. Only on the first time though
|
Yo La Tengo - I Can Hear The Heart Beating As One
Pink Floyd - Meddle |
"Spec Bebop" and "We're an American Band" are two of my favourite songs on I can hear.
|
I love their cover of "Nuclear War". They're such a great band, one of the best live shows I've seen too.
|
Spec Bebop is rad.
Frank Zappa - We're Only In It For The Money This is a flawless album, one of my favourites of all time. Zappa's production is amazing. |
