Thanks.
If anyone here has seen Requiem for a Dream I am sure you have noticed the soundtrack...anyone like it. I am trying to transcribe the main theme of it. All on one guitar, playing to octaves is kinda tough but not impossible.

gillygan 03-19-2006 02:56 PM

So yesterday, I went to this place called fambam or fammart. Its the coolest place ever! All this really cheap fake gangster clothing and ice and big jackets and a whole bunch of awsome crap. I some aviators (sp?) and a fat neckalce.

So lately I've been getting into some hardcore, Converge, BTBAM, and Protest the Hero. Greaqt stuff :thumb:

I don't recall the music, but it's a superb film.
I want too know why :amaze: people make that face when they're amazed?
That face is blue, which gives me the impression they just got anally probed.

Converge is one ofthose bands where you'd rather get stabbed in the face than listen to, in my opinion.

Yes, it is a superb film, originally with an NC-17 rating...I got that version, and didnt know heh. If anyone wants to hear my ear transcription of it (Guitar Pro, after I figured it out on teh guitar I would be happy to send).

PinkFreud 03-19-2006 03:47 PM

The Director's cut is ok. I personally think that so many people love the movie that it just kind of lost a little bit in my eyes. Every time it's brought up, everyone LOVES it and, while I thought it was good, I didn't think it was amazing.

Ya, well not that many people I know, probably because age/maturity ratio like....15-16 year olds.... I still think it was brilliant.
Bah I am having trouble with the timing of the fourth instrument,..

Between the Buried and Me

PinkFreud 03-19-2006 04:20 PM

Between the Buried and Me?

So, in that rockstar game that was posted on the last page, I made a thrash band called Testiscream. I anticipate huge success.

Edit: Beaten twice over.

Jev 03-19-2006 04:23 PM

My band's called Spastic Flower \m/
I have 9,000 points more than my friend yet he's 100 positions higher than me.

Not Hardcore...

I'm going to see them for my 29th time on Friday, my 30th is April 23rd. :thumb:

Jev 03-19-2006 04:29 PM

29th time?
That's dedication.

Is this that rockstar game? If so, what is the point? It seems interesting so I'm in the process of signing up right now (my band name is the Happy Astronauts), but I don't really get what you do.

PinkFreud 03-19-2006 04:32 PM

I have no points and I only wrote one song called "Indian Burial Ground."

I suck at this game. Haha.

Lunch 03-19-2006 04:34 PM

I'm adding band members right now. What should I name them?

Tyler 03-19-2006 04:37 PM
29th time?

Well when they started out like 3 years back they played basically bi-monthly. I usually get guestlisted and I mean, I sort of know my favourite band. It's really just happend that they've played a lot over the last 3 years and I rarely miss a show.

Oh god. Mine are the best. Don't even try.

Sgt. Shitstorm - Vocals
John Revolta - Drums
Tom Bruise - Bass
Regis Killbin aka "The Reg" - Guitar
I'm adding band members right now. What should I name them?
Bob, Dylan, Jeff, and Beck. :p

Lunch 03-19-2006 04:47 PM

I named my guitarist and bassist the names of people I actually know, then my insane keyboardist is named Emelio Sanchez.

PinkFreud 03-19-2006 04:47 PM

Haha. Prog band? No drummer? You're crazy.

Lunch 03-19-2006 04:51 PM

I'm the drummer. But yea, if my band had a sound we would play psych/prog with 20 minute songs.

PinkFreud 03-19-2006 04:57 PM
I'm the drummer. But yea, if my band had a sound we would play psych/prog with 20 minute songs.
Oh right. I didn't even think of putting myself into the band...I'm so selfless! :thumb:

Lunch 03-19-2006 05:01 PM

I'm not very good at handling this point system.

ATM 03-19-2006 05:02 PM

What do you do in the game?

Lunch 03-19-2006 05:04 PM

You create a "band" and use these points to pracitce, go on tour, rest, write songs, or record a single or album.

Then there are stats that increase with practice, or resting, etc. It's actually really entertaining.

PinkFreud 03-19-2006 05:05 PM
I'm not very good at handling this point system.
Neither am I. I've already used all of mine and am waiting for the 7 extra ones.

Lunch 03-19-2006 05:10 PM

I'm down to 28 and theres 175 minutes left before I get 7 more.

/pwned.
