Oh God. The concept of a blog sort of dfeats the purpose of a journal in my humble opinion. Journals are supposed to be your own private thoughts that never appear until you become famous then die so that they can be published for all to see. DUH.

I think journals are to write your thoughts out, but I think public or private matters not. I love writing and have it public if people want to read it, but I don't think many do. Either way the purpose is to write your thoughts out, so it's still useful.
