He was on the bus and some kid was beating on another kid and no one was doing anything, and being the 'think before you act' kind of person my friend is he went over there and popped the kid one. He was 12 years old, my friend swears he looked about 16 and was almost 6 foot tall, the worst part is he fractured his jaw in hitting him. It really sucks because he was gonna go into the army and if he's convicted there's no chance of that and he might spend a good deal of time in jail.

Yeah it sucks big time, he has to pay his parents back for his lawyer too, apparently he's pleading not guilty though, so we'll see what happens.

Yep, he reacted poorly in an attempt to do some good, sucks that this could land him in prison for a year and unable to join the army, really is quite sad.
