This is actually a pretty decent song, check it out. |

|
Same problem with that song as the Beatallica song.
|
It's the complete song, I listened to it :-/
|
We need a third party to download either of the songs.
Anyone? |
So who is the guitarist from the sytem has failed album
It was chris poland but it is glen drover now he is not as good as any of the other megadeth guitaist ever.and his brother shawn drover plays drums now. |

So, do they have tour dates for that gigantour yet?
|
Frankly, I'd like to see Megadeth, Lamb of God and Shadows fall touring together. I'd pay a lot of money to see that tour. I hate dream theater..
What's the hardest song to play off of The System Has Failed? |

What's the hardest song to play off of The System Has Failed?
Dream Theater pwns those bands so hard, and I like LOG and Shadows Fall. I don't know the hardest, just look at all of Poland's solos. |
Go my minions and vote for Dave.
http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?p=7555364#post7555364
/votes I was thinking about voting for Beck too, but just because I like Megadeth better, I went with Mustaine. |
Well, I saw Megadeth last night. Glen's an impressive Guitarist...I wasn't to keen on James though, his Bass solo didn't get me too excited. Anyway, I've posted the set list on the Titans thread, but I'm gonna post it here aswell.
Blackmail The Universe Die Dead Enough The Scorpion Something That I'm Not Kick The Chair Back In The Day She-Wolf Trust Holy Wars Hangar 18 Return To Hangar Tornado Of Souls Wake Up Dead Peace Sells My Last Words Mechanix Skin o' My Teeth Symphony Of Destruction Sweating Bullets Angry Again Paranoid A Tout Le Monde Train Of Consequences Set The World Afire In My Darkest Hour I thought the Mechanix wasn't gonna be played, as they announced Holy Wars as the last song...but half way through they stopped and played Train of Consequences and Mechanix, it was rather good. There was a nice banner up on the balcony aswell that read "**** Metallica, Megadeth No.1" Dave looked up at it at the end of the gig and nodded in an agreeing way. Anyway! it was top notch. Edit: More songs I forgot! |
im glad someone put that sign there
I really feel bad for dave and would take him in my band over any of the guys in metallica anyday...truly LOVE dave(in a totally musical kind of way..hahaha) |
ThrashMaster, that sounds awesome, you got a better setlist than me. I trust they still finished Holy Wars though, not hearing Dave's solo would suck. I want a picture of Dave with the banner, that sounds sick!
.truly LOVE dave(in a totally musical kind of way..hahaha)
Heh, my g/f and one of her friends have an ongoing joke that I want to have sex with Dave. I'm straight, but I have had dreams about him... |

wat kind of dreams? Or do I not want to know...... |
Oh yeah, they did two things like that...played Paranoid half way through Peace Sells aswell. But they finished both songs. I think Hangar 18 was probably my fave song of the night...All the solo's just flying about. 11 solos! you can't beat that.
wat kind of dreams? Or do I not want to know......
I talked about them a while back in this thread. In one I was in my parents' car and we were just driving down the street and saw Dave walking on the sidewalk. I was just like "Holy shit its Dave Mustaine stop the fucking car!" and so I started talking to him. I said "WTF man you're supposed to be touring in Europe!" (at the time he was) and he was just "Oh shit you're right, could you guys give me a ride to the airport?" So we drove him to the airport, and while waiting for his flight, he got a mushroom haircut. I wasn't too happy about it, but then I woke up. My other one I dreamed that I won that contest where you send in one of your original songs to Dave and he picks a winner. The winner gets an ESP DV8. So I dreamed I won it, and Dave personally came to my house to give it to me. Since he was there, I invited him into my basement/room and we jammed all day. Twas a good dream. |
alright I guess that was pretty painless...and I bet it was a pretty good dream. I would jam with dave for hours myself.
Just make sure those nighttme thoughts dont get outta control! |
If I meet Dave at Gigantour I think I'll tell him about my dreams.
|
yeah but i dont remember where i saw them
well..........try to remember Voted for dave in the greatest guitarist poll |
Okay, so we are arguing over who is better at guitar Kirk or Dave in the Metallica thread. I know everyone in here thinks Dave, but can some1 give me a good explanation on why they think Dave is better than Kirk, without being a jack@ss?

dave has more to bring to the table for a band. he writes alot of lyrics and guitar. He solos really well. And hes been threw more than kirk so I think he automaticly should deserve a pat on the back. He was kicked out of one band...so he just decided to make his own. Great songwriter, guiarist, and bandmate give me the :thumb: for dave over kirk. |
Dave's faster, more technical, and more versatile (that is, he plays some crazy rhythm and lead, and can solo in more keys than E minor)
|
Wow, I just listened to KIMB for the first time, in a long time. I forgot how much I love this CD. I can't get over it.
|
I think Dave is a little too obsessed with putting down Metallica though. I like them both but why doesn't he just let it go?
|
I think Dave has let it go, but the media hasn't.
|
If he has a banner at his show saying FVCK METALLICA, I don't think he's let it go.
|
Personally always prefered Megadeth to Metallica.
Just opinions though, you have to take into consideration of the quality of albums. METALLICA: Kill 'Em All, Great album, really thrashy, my favourite. Ride The Lightning, Excellent album, some great tunes. Master Of Puppets, OMG ALBUM AND A HALF . And Justice For All, a little bit inconsistent, but the good songs are some of the best. Metallica, well, clearly comercialised, but still good. Load and Re-load, meh, not much to say. St. Anger, eh... MEGADETH: Killing Is My Business, a little bit of a rip off of K'EA, but hits the right spot. Peace Sells, classic, an abosulte stand out album. So Far So Good..., This gets slated a lot, undeservedly in my opinion, there are some of Megadeth's best tracks on here, but there are a few "filler tracks also". Rust In Peace, what else can I say about one of my favourite albums ever...? Coundown To Extinction, a great album, not just thrash, shows some lighter elements. Youthnasia, a good album with some excellent songs, if a little inconsistent. Cryptic Writings, a very soft album, but some thrash songs on it, again a little inconsistent. Risk, the last MEGADETH album, it's ok, nothing more I suppose. So you see, I find Megadeth more consistent than Metallica, just an opinion, of course.:) |
Yes i completely agree if you listen to kill em all then st anger you will not be able to tlell the differencein my opinion metallica were doin good till they cut ther hair from there on it all went downhill megadeth though Killing is my business is the only cd which sounds the least bit weird.
|
Jimmy Page i once again agree with you kill em all is there best album then RTL and so on till the blkack album do you guys know the song that were made by dave?

the mechanix? |
I just have a question for Mr. Page over there.
Why did you only 'review' those Megadeth albums? |

Well, if you mean the songs Dave helped co-write then...The Four Horsemen, Metal Militia, Jump In The Fire, Phantom Lord, Ride The Lighting and The Call of Ktulu. He's also rumoured to have wrote the main riff to Leper Messiah. |
