People play in the Grim and Frostbitten Graeveland?

So I listened to Come My Fanatics again and it's really good.

the2stranger 11-12-2006 06:08 AM

Not exactly there, but in Tilburg, the Netherlands. :p
And I checked, the entrance is free. :D
How awesome.

So there is a new Stoner supergroup in the making. Nebula just posted this Myspace bulletin...
To all Nebuloids here and beyond, this is a public announcement:

I Ruben Romano of total sound in mind and in body pursue exactly just that.....SOUND!! I find myself riding on an Event Horizon ready to pass through into the next vortex and will bring forward to cast onto you but a new conglomeration of FREEKS! I join forces with three exceptional focal points to complete the new triangle not only in thought & sight but more importantly in the main principles of OUR pursuit......SOUND!! As a new eye in the pyramid, a new vision come to focus, a new Optical Sound to float upon. Thus, Janurary marks the commencement in capturing these sounds with my long time brothers John Mcbain(Monster Magnet/Wellwater Conspiracy), Scott Reeder(Kyuss/Across the River), Isaiha Mitchell(Earthless) and my longest time brother and friend Mark Abshire in tow. We enter "The Sancturary" together as individuals and will exit together as one whole, a new legacy, we are "The Freeks"

I wish my Nebulinian brothers Eddie and Tom the best in thier pursuits as they have given me their blessings in return, I am and will always be NEBULA in my heart and in my soul, this truth can not be denied! We will meet again my friends....we will meet again for sure!

The Freeks Myspace profile is now up but pretty naked at the moment. However, construction is up and running with more info on the Freeks sanctuary session as the time draws near. It's gonna get freeky my people. You just gotta wait and see.

peace and love to all!!!!

R.R.
John Mcbain, Scott Reeder, Mark Abshire and Ruben Romano in the same band. Sounds hot!

Are Novembers Doom any good?

Daven 11-13-2006 02:20 PM

Novembers Doom is ok.

Txus 11-13-2006 02:52 PM

They are a bit boring.

Shattered_Future 11-13-2006 03:17 PM

I like them a lot. Quite atmospheric...they remind me a bit of Opeth crossed with a traditional doom band.

Kage 11-13-2006 03:23 PM

I've been whoring Mouth of the Architect for a long time and no one pays any attention.

Txus 11-13-2006 04:04 PM

I have :(

Tyr 11-13-2006 04:08 PM

Mouth of the Architect didn't appeal that much to me when I heard them.
Are Novembers Doom any good?
Of Sculptured Ivy and Stone Flowers is a good album, but they are kinda hit or miss with their other records.

Shattered_Future 11-13-2006 05:40 PM

I'm listening to something I swiped off the Daily Upload. I think Mike upped it...Fallen, the band is called. Pretty cool...I like the guy's voice. It's very Peter Steele esque.

I'm downloading as I type. It looks interesting.

Although most Doom looks interesting.

Neoteric 11-13-2006 05:52 PM

Are Forgotten Tomb good?

Daven 11-13-2006 05:58 PM

Very good.

Neoteric 11-13-2006 06:01 PM
Very good.
Sweet, I d/led that album you uploaded, I'm rather enjoying it.

Daven 11-13-2006 06:03 PM

Entombed By Winter is such a good song.

Txus 11-13-2006 06:03 PM

Fallen are really damn good. Yes, I uploaded it Mike :)

Forgotten Tomb are also ace.

Sleepy 11-13-2006 06:06 PM

Confessor is, indeed, good shit.

pate 11-13-2006 06:14 PM

Indeed, Confessor owns.

Apocalyptic Raids 11-14-2006 12:17 AM

I'm a little hesitant in checking out Confessor. To be honest, Technical Doom sounds like it would be pretty gay.
I've been whoring Mouth of the Architect for a long time and no one pays any attention.
I never noticed. :(
Are Novembers Doom any good?
I'm seeing them on the 17th of this month.
I'm mainly going for the support.
Agalloch and Saturnus.
:D

Txus 11-14-2006 10:00 AM

Holy ****. Saturnus are great!

Jondur 11-14-2006 10:26 AM

It's time this thread turned up the doom.

Witchfinder General are reforming! But without Zeeb on Vox.

pate 11-14-2006 11:18 AM

I heard that. Great news.

Jono: I was skeptical as well, but they're really good. The technicality isn't in "dwee dee dee" style riffs. The riffs and drums are slightly more technical than most traditional doom. I would even say it's more trad doom than "technical doom"

Is it a reformation for a tour, or a full-on new material thing?

pate 11-14-2006 11:31 AM

They're starting to write a new album.

Txus 11-14-2006 05:04 PM

New Witchfinder General? Awesome :D
