Let There Be Rock Is a great album, the only reason the songs are alittle ****ed up is because Angus's amp blew up in middle of recording.
Whole Lotta Rosie live is godly :)

Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap is another Bon Scott masterpiece.

brettberry 07-10-2005 10:42 PM

I found out that most of the time, angus doesnt even use any distortion pedals or anything, just a loud tube amp amplified by pa systems.

Follow The Reaper 07-10-2005 10:48 PM

He doesn't even use Pa Systems, he only uses Marshall Amps with natural distortion pedals, he is against pedals, and effects.

BludgeonySteve 07-10-2005 10:49 PM

Well obviously.

Follow The Reaper 07-10-2005 10:53 PM

Hey, I was just telling BB about it.
explain "obviously"
I think he meant that they are rock and roll and rock and roll generally doesn't use any effects. You can't hear any effects on any of their albums. If you watch them they have a ****load of amps so they obviously don't need a pa system, and Angus has said many times that they don't use PA's, effects, just natural distortion.
explain "obviously"
He doesn't use effects. His tone is really dry and lifeless, you can hear it in the music. If he only used some effects the band would be twice as good.

you might burn in hell for that, you mean the beginning of Thunderstruck has no life, what about hells bells, or even highway to hell?

BludgeonySteve 07-10-2005 11:04 PM

I just said his tone wasn't very good. The band is great, ballsy, hard rockin' and has one of the best live shows ever.

/and hell aint a bad place to be

brettberry 07-10-2005 11:07 PM

definition of hell: a bad place to be; firey pits; bugs the size of sweden; burned and reborn to burn again; our earthly fire=1 hell's fire=1000

AC/DC makes hell seem like a fun party where satan is your buddy and buys the beer.

funny but explain where that attitude came from, your mother when you where 10, be real dude, you got to forget everything anyoone has said or told you about music and musicians and form your own opinions about things.

BludgeonySteve 07-10-2005 11:11 PM

and so they did :)

Angus and Malcom were never the kind that listened to their mommy.

Yep, good old AC/DC.

Congragulations on 13k! :thumb:

brettberry 07-11-2005 12:16 AM

I always wondered, how did acdc get its name?

Follow The Reaper 07-11-2005 12:18 AM

Because Angus and Malcolm saw AC/DC (AlternateCurrent/DirrectCurrent) on a Vacum cleaner and thought it was a good name.

Follow The Reaper 07-11-2005 12:42 AM

Do I sense sarcasm...
But anyway, I was reading Guitar Legends and Angus said that their sister was sewing and they saw AC/DC on it.

brettberry 07-11-2005 12:44 AM

I know they had sewing machines in the 1800's

Follow The Reaper 07-11-2005 12:48 AM
