You guys suck, ive never even had many real shows in hawaii, only a few local bands. None of those bands can afford to come to hawaii. I guess its the price I pay.
I'm not that into 18V, especially after the new CD. But I can dig the new ITD only because I'm a bitch about the poppy psuedo-metalcore.
That deal with Trustkill is weird, I would only mind if WOJ or Terror got bumped because of show issues. But Sworn Enemy is on Elektra and they still get around to playing small venues.
It won't happen, WOJ+BB=puresex. They are buddy buddy, they wouldn't do that, didn't you hear what happened when WOJ played in Boston a few weeks back? Plus Terror won't ever happen. It just won't regardless of how AWESOME Lowest of the Low is and same with One With The Underdogs. |

It just won't regardless of how AWESOME Lowest of the Low is and same with One With The Underdogs.
Are you talking about when Sworn Enemy and WOJ played in Boston and were asked to take off their BB shirts? Cause there's a big thread with a ton of lil bitches whining about how gay BB and FSU are. As for Terror, they could goto Sony for all I care, doesn't mean they won't keep owning. |

As for Terror, they could goto Sony for all I care, doesn't mean they won't keep owning.
Yeah that's the thing I'm talking about...BB and FSU are cool man, kids are just whiny little snuffs and can't take what hardcore really is when it comes down to it. |
Yeah that's the thing I'm talking about...BB and FSU are cool man, kids are just whiny little snuffs and can't take what hardcore really is when it comes down to it.
I like FSU and BB, if you look in the thread you will see my clear opinion on the subject. I feel the same way as you, and I think it's more just how life really is. I grew up in a crap suburb of Dallas with violence and crime out the ying yang. It's nothing new to me.
|
Do you see kids doing spin kicks in Hatebreed videos?
yes. but i agree with you, i don't really think of throwdown and hatebreed as metalcore, even if they do have some metally parts. |
I will repeat that I do not see Throwdown as metalcore...but they are close to crossing over the edge.
|
Nice post, I believe you get the award for biggest idiot who doesn't know a thing about metalcore if you call Hatebreed metalcore. THANK YOU YOUR IGNORANCE IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.
Hahaha, you're the guy that thinks they're tough guy right? I rest my case. |
Hahaha, you're the guy that thinks they're tough guy right?
I rest my case.
Duderz, I need to find a way to LA. |
HAHAHA, ooooooookay... Prove to me, how are they metalcore? So if you call Hatebreed metalcore, then so is Throwdown and every other tough guy band that tunes low and has vocals like that. And I assure you, that's lots of bands buddy. Just keep it down before I burn your ***.
Hatebreed isn't metalcore. Metalcore isn't just about breakdowns and drop D tuning, there's more to it. There's more metaphoric speaking in their lyrics more like emo I guess and it's not so straight foward. I can go into further detail and shame you all if you wish.
Hey idiot, too bad you just defined metalcore out of sarcasm. Don't forget Hatebreed have double bass, tremolo picking, the occasional whammy bar abuse, and triplets. All elements of metal. If you're going to say you know so much, make sure you actually do. Also guys, I'm putting in a request to get him banned in the Site forum. Please go to the the problematic users thread and back me up. |
Duderz, I need to find a way to LA.
Suckage. I'm working, so I can't go. And then I have Misery Signals and Premonitions of War that night. |
Be like the super HC kids and quite your job for a show.

Ok, this xdeadtomorrowx kid really pisses me off, so I want to say something. Not so much because he has no idea what he's talking about when it comes to genres, but because he acts like he's big shit because he can name a couple BR00TAL TEKK METAL bands and is probably the coolest of his fashion faggot friends (search his posts. He's a girls' jeans kid).
News flash dead: You know a good amount of bands and obviously listen to good music. Great. Too bad every band you've ever listed save for two or three I (and quite a few of the regulars in this thread) am already familiar with. You do not know more than anybody here when it comes to bands, and you DEFINITELY don't know more when it comes to genres. Seriously, what kind of an idiot says Hatebreed are tough guy? If you even bothered to pay attention to their lyrics, you'd see their lyrics are for the most part positive and very rarely resemble tough guy at all. Like I said in my other post, Hatebreed, along with other metalcore bands take the hardcore formula and add upon it elements of metal, such as: double bass, speed picking, Swedish inspired riffage, etc. Go listen to Slayer, and then listen to Hatebreed, and tell me with a straight face you don't hear influence. Now back to you being Mr. Hardcore. No, you are not. Since you apparently think bands like Hatebreed are not metalcore, you must obviously be in the Atreyu, Darkest Hour, Black Dahlia Murder, As I Lay Dying = metalcore camp. Riiiiiiiiiiiight. Let's continue with evidence of your stupidity, shall we? You called It Dies Today sellouts. Well, excuse me, but I could've swore I saw you in the CD review for the new underoath talking about how good their new sound is. Yeah, they're real original man. It's not like they haven't increased their fanbase tenfold with the new album. Definitely not sellouts. But It Dies Today, hey, they put clean vocals in their music, so roll out the money train! It seems to me that you got into hardcore a few months ago when all your friends we're still listening to nu-metal, and now that you can name 300 bands or so, you think you're king of the scene. Too bad you're about as good off as blind kid with a porno mag when it comes to having this information. You do not know more than anybody else. You are not cool. You are not better than anyone. Congratulations, you are mediocre. |
I'm sorry, but someone saying Hatebreed is not metalcore is beyond retarded.
|
Bravo Buddy, BRAVO!
But I still don't consider Throwdown metalcore... |
Bravo Buddy, BRAVO!
But I still don't consider Throwdown metalcore...
I don't really either. The only thing that really makes them metal to me is the low tunings. They're borderline in my eyes. I wouldn't cast stones at anyone for calling them metalcore, and same goes for calling them hardcore. |
So, I have a question:
IMO, Glass Casket and BTBAM = Grindcore/Metalcore Any other bands like this? |
Haha, turns out my attempt to get him ban succeeded.
This is a bittersweet victory. I hope he still sees that though. He seemed like a cool kid when he wasn't trying so hard. |
Subtle:
The Red Chord were doing that sound before both those bands, so them. Deadwater Drowning are in that vein too, but with way more mosh and hardcore influence. |
Subtle:
The Red Chord were doing that sound before both those bands, so them.
Oh good. At least you gave me some credit and didn't say Converge. |
Well, what I really meant to say was
CONVERGE!!!!! AND WE WON'T! STAND IN! THE SAME SUN! AGAIN! |
/me looked on SoulSeek and found an entire Red Chord album with easy download speed and is making a CD.
Good times. EDIT: What I really like is the "Mordecai/In Between The Sheets" sort of sound, but I can never find any. > : ( |
what would you consider the Circle Jerks, then.
i've always considered them hardcore.
Yup, hardcore. :) Btw, grindcore isn't being called punk, is it? I always thought it was death metal. |
Thank god Dead got banned. I hate him. Way to take him down Buddy.
|
about hatebreed, i really don't think "satisfaction is the death of desire" would be considered metalcore. "rise of brutality" does however have a lot of metal elements, so i'd call that cd metalcore. and buddy was right, they aren't a tough guy band. their music may resemble it, but a lot of their lyrics are very positive.
|
Yup, hardcore. :)
Btw, grindcore isn't being called punk, is it? I always thought it was death metal.
Grind is just as much punk influenced as it is Metal. |
