Well I am still listening awfully much to Tegan and Sarah, especially their Phoenix concert. A real pity that the audio quality of that little concert is for some reason bad.
New album comes out in late July or early August according to their website and will be called Places Like This. New single 'Heart it Races' is on their myspace to listen.
I like Fingers Crossed aswell, I just like the fuller sound on In Case We Die better.
Thanks. I may listen sometime soon. |
American Football - American Football
ooioo - Taiga |
I'm really getting into Wilco. I only knew YHF when I heard they were playing at Roskilde, so now I've been checking out the rest of their material.

Tony Conrad - Slapping Pythagoras
Conrad is pretty awesome, this album has Jim O'Rourke and David Grubbs and a few other people on it. There's some lengthy liner notes explaining why you should slap Pythagoras, which are probably funny. I don't know because I haven't read them. |
Run D.M.C. - Raising Hell
Yume Bitsu - Auspicious Winds |
Meat Puppets - Up on the Sun
This is definitely way better than II. The songs are so good, they can play their instruments much more skillfully and the singer doesn't sound so yo-yoish. II is good though |
Joanna Newsom - The Milk-Eyed Mender
Cornelius - Fantasma Deerhoof - Apple O' Panic! at the Disco - A Fever You Can't Sweat Out |
Haven't heard a single thing O'Rourke has done that's been bad.

II is good though
I like II better because the songs are more powerful and it has that deserty feel. Up on the Sun though has exellent production and the tightest playing the puppets ever did. I love them both for different reasons. |
Guided by Voices - Bee Thousand

Yo La Tengo- I Can Feel The Heart...
got it from that sardo music archive thingy. pretty cool i guess, obviously "Sugarcube" is a favorite due to its anthem-like quality. also this: G------------------------------------------------------------------ D------------------------------------------------------------------ A---------5-4-2-0---------5-4-2-0---------5-4-2-0---------5-4-2-0 E-0-2-3-5---------0-2-3-5---------0-2-0-2---------0-2-0-2-------- sounds about right, dont it? |
I'm thinking "Sugarcube" is probably THE ultimate summer song.

http://sharebee.com/068d048e Sounds tight on first listen. edit: Scratch that, this blows the other 2 out of the water. It's fantastic. |
Nadja - Touched
Boris - Pink
I've read a few reviews of Nadja that make it sound fairly interesting. Is that album good? |
Thanks Kyle. Downloading it now. If its as good as you say it is then its gotta be good.
