Zen Arcade is much better than New Day Rising.
that's a fcat. |
New Day Rising has better Grant songs
and even though i was retarded to think that "Celebrated Summer" was a post-punk song, it's still better than anything on ZA but Zen still has the better opener |
Zen = New Day > Flip Your Wig
|
basically Zen Arcade has Pink Turns to Blue..
It wins. |
new day rising has "Girl Who Lives On Heaven Hill" and "I Apologize" and "every song except maybe the last three"
|
ah so what you're saying is Zen Arcade has Pink Turns To Blue and is better?
|
oh man rufus wainwright is dominating again

The new Decemberists album. It's almost their best.

i like those kinds of books |
Solomon Burke - Nashville
Better than last year's, but still not as good as Don't Give Up On Me, but I'm not surprised at that. There's some good stuff on this, though the duets didn't really make all that much of an impact on me. Amos Lee - Supply and Demand Good, but kind of missing something compared to Amos Lee, though I'm not sure what that is. There's a couple of really well-developed pop songs, though. There's nothing like "Black River", "Love in the Lies" or anything, though. Looking forward to listening to J Mascis and the Fog - Free So Free sometime in the near future, just because of a review on RYM. |
Glad you like it (what stuff are you listening to, by the way?). I probably wouldn't have heard of him in the first place though if it weren't for Iai.
EDIT: Now digging Herman's Hermits - Herman's Hermits/Both Sides of Herman's Hermits. Just put it on (three songs in), but is good so far. |
Nope. Should I try to seek them out?
|
Jay-Z - The Black Album
I enjoyed this a lot more the second time through. |
the holy bible isn't really derpessing at all
it makes me want to kick things and wear eyeliner |
FS/LS really has no bad songs on it.
Except for "Damn Girl" this is true. |
The Decemberists - The Crane Wife
The Magic Numbers - Those The Brokes Amos Lee - Supply & Demand Wow, it's 2005 all over again. |
Will.I.Am completely ruins anything good that song has going for it.
Which is nearly everything apart from Will.I.Am. |
pretty sad. but not as sad as his lyrics in "damn girl"
|
I have downloading ADD right now. Amos Lee, Magic Numbers, Glenn Branca, two Scrawl albums, two Solomon Burke albums, two Twilight Singers albums, Iron Maiden, and Damien Rice all in just over 2 days. This is what happens when you have to take a year out from Soulseek.
|
Indeed. It's damn hard to find their stuff, though. I'm Iai on Soulseek if anyone wants to scaff it off me.

Catch 22 - Permanent Revolution
Blindspott - End The Silence Blindspott - Blindspott / Self Titled The Automatic - Not Accepted Anywhere The Strokes - First Impression Of Earth + Room On Fire + Is This It? The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus - Don't You Fake It Semisonic - All About The Chemistry The Sex Pistols - Nevermind the Bollocks |
Silver Jews - American Water
Oh man am I loving this. David Berman writes the best lyrics. And "Night Society", being a really fun song to jam to, makes it even better. |
Third Eye Blind - Out Of The Vein

The Replacements - Tim
This does have some boring spots but I really enjoy it, especially the lyrics. |
Jandek.
