Yeah, Justin thinks only the primitive stuff is considered Black Metal.

Watchmaker I disagree, they might have the influence but black metal? nah.

The rest are definitely black metal even though pretty poopty bands.

Any of you like Gallhammer? Probably the best crust/black metal band I've heard and they are all japanese chicks.
Next time you listen to watchmaker ignore the vocal rhythms and the drumming and just listen to the guitar. It's very black metalish. That goes for a lot of grind bands.

And bold sounds like one of my joke posts. you can't be serious?

illmitch 12-17-2009 02:52 PM

gallhammer is pretty good tbh dont see the "joke post" factor

Txus 12-17-2009 02:53 PM

where's the joke in there?

Room13 12-17-2009 02:53 PM

you

Txus 12-17-2009 02:55 PM

Lol

Bleekill 12-17-2009 03:24 PM

Gallhammer is cool I remember reading about them a lot last year I think. I don't really go back to listen to them a lot but maybe I should relisten to their newest.

Meatplow 12-17-2009 03:36 PM

Bathory is cool

Stormrider 12-17-2009 04:24 PM
just seems funny that there are so many different sounds classified as death metal but when it comes to black metal so little variation is tolerated
Listen to Mayhems Deathcrush, Beherit's Drawing Down the Moon, Ruins of Beverast Rain Upon the Impure, Akitsa's La Grande Infamie and tell me there is little variation between them.

Stevie 12-17-2009 04:26 PM

RetiredAt21 12-17-2009 07:59 PM
Still haven't got around to them yet.
Unlock the Shrine is sieg tbh.

illmitch 12-17-2009 08:10 PM

yeah, Unlock the Shrine is pretty elite

Stormrider 12-17-2009 08:39 PM
Akitsa is good
Indeed. Which releases from them have you heard so far?

Fatal Energy, check them out (RoB), I'm sure you'll like them. Definitely Get Rain Upon the Impure.

I'll be fair, I haven't listened to Unlock the Shrine nearly enough, but I know for a fact it won't surpass Rain Upon the Impure.

masscows 12-17-2009 08:46 PM

I still haven't heard Rain Upon the Impure but I do dig his other two albums alot, especially Foulest Semen of a Sheltered Elite

d/ling Rain... now

Txus 12-17-2009 08:53 PM

I seem to be the only one in here along with you nate who thinks Foulest Semen of a Sheltered Elite good.

Jaundice 12-17-2009 08:54 PM

should i even give it a shot or should i just assume i'm not ready for them

rasputin 12-17-2009 09:30 PM

la grande infamieeeee

RetiredAt21 12-17-2009 09:30 PM

I think you should definitely give Unlock the Shrine a shot. I was very skeptical at first but was completely taken off-guard by how good it is. Between Bronze Walls ftw.

masscows 12-17-2009 09:42 PM
I seem to be the only one in here along with you nate who thinks Foulest Semen of a Sheltered Elite good.
??? I had no idea it wasn't well-liked. It's stupid good, I've honestly never heard anything like it before.

Txus 12-17-2009 09:46 PM

Yeah, I remember a couple of people saying it wasnt that good or something like that.

Room13 12-17-2009 09:47 PM

Meatplow 12-17-2009 09:48 PM
Indeed. Which releases from them have you heard so far?
