If they had even the slightest idea of metallica splitting after that album, they would have just recorded with Bob Rock and then waited a while to see what happened. I think it's gunna be a couple of more albums before they split.

Metallica still has life left in them. They'll be around for like 3 more albums.

Like I've already said, I reckon they'll be going as long as the Rolling Stones.

Anyone care to predict what the new album will be like?

Anyone think they'll try to make some speed metal again or will they rest on their laurels and make another album worthy of the times?

I think it'll be more like Load or in the style of the Black album.

I wouldn't mind something like st anger that much if they'd add in a bunch of kickass solos - but No Leaf Clover is fuc[I]k[/I]in awesome. Did they ever play a version of that song outside of the S&M CD?

They play it live sometimes but there's no recording of it without the orchestra.

I want something along the lines of ...And Justice for All, sept with sick bass lines. It'd be nice if they properly tuned their guitars again, and wrote some good thrash/speed metal with hints of prog again... but whatever.

Only Lard dates actresses, James is married to someone who can't speak English, dunno who Kirk's married to and Rob's single.

I thought James' wife can speak english. I know I saw the woman in SKOM when James went to those ballad lessons or whatever they were. I dont know if that was his wife or just a babysiter.

She's Argentinian, probably can speak a little English poorly but James uses his kids to for him.

I was watching some kind of monster the other day, and freackin lars wanted no solos at all on St. Anger...he's really pushing to be more alternative i think then the rest of them

I just got my new recording equipment, so I'll be good to go. Except I hate it when your set up is so big that it delays the recording from the recording you were listening to to time a solo so that's something i need to work on. I think Chu said his basement/recording area is quite a mess and won't be recording for awhile. My recording stuff is at my moms so i can't record till I'm back there and also I need to know what the rhythm parts will be.

Black Album, except the vocals won't be as good and the bass will be better.

Honestly, I didn't like St. Anger that much. I don't think it was terrible like a lot of people do. I thought there were some good songs and some bad songs. I don't think their next album will sound like that. I can't wait to hear what it sounds like. If I had to predict, I would say that it's going to be more like a cross between Load and the Black album. But who knows, maybe it'll be like Load but with the heaviness of St. Anger. I just hope the drums sound good on this album. What were they thinking with that?

I liked the lack of solos on St. Anger! Kirk hasn't been able to write a decent solo for too long now (imo), it doesn't matter.

St. Anger was just too repetative, and the drums.. AHHHHH

And I'm not a Metallica man, not even close, I hate them as much as I like them.

Yeah, a few more weeks til I get some time to clean out my shed, and I will have a recording up.

Last night, I tried it on guitar and could do it pretty cleanly up until the first Chorus (I got bored... :evil: ), that was just rhythm, although I think the version I play might just be a bit too slow.... :angry:

I still dont see why people hate solos on reload, I thought they were fine. Especially in fuel, bad seed, and slither. We'll see what they put out next. It'll probably be something different than what they have done so far.

The solos I've heard from the Load albums were pretty good. Nice and bluesy.
