Cold War Kids - Robbers & Cowards
Flaming Lips - Zaireeka
The Damned - Damned, Damned, Damned

I also dl'd slightly confuzzled sea lion Galore - Dial 'M' for Motherfucker. Not really sure what I think of it yet though.
I love Pussy Galore. Awesome band.

Neurosis - Given to the Rising
The Pop Group - Y
Tony Conrad

New Neurosis is not revolutionary, but it's pretty good.
How is that? I love The Flaming Lips but I've never found the idea of having to play the thing on four separate cd players particularly appealing.
I was able to find the mixdown version on a blog, and the music kicks ***. Some of the best stuff they've ever done. I'm seriously thinking about purchasing it and trying to synch it all up though. The whole wall of sound thing seems kind of appealing to me.
I love Pussy Galore. Awesome band.
Hell yeah, I listened to it today and came to the conclusion that it's really really good.

I was sick from school today, so I had a lot of time to just chill out in my room eating popsicles and listened to all of these all the way through:

The Damned - Damned, Damned, Damned
The Ramones - Rocket to Russia (their best album imo)
Shellac - 1000 Huts
Melt Banana - Cell Scape
Sonic Youth - Bad Moon Rising

On a side note, the Flaming Lips do a really bad-*** cover of 'Death Valley '69'.

Glitterati 05-25-2007 01:07 PM

Peter Murphy - Deep
Nick Cave - No More Shall We Part

that sort of stuff today.

I have a dvd that is a 5.1 mix of most of the tracks, set to various cult movies. Its amazingto say the least.

Jets to Brazil - Orange Rhyming Dictionary
Jay Reatard - Blood Visions

Both excellent.

YDload 05-26-2007 12:22 AM

i learned another Television song, this time its "Guiding Light"

I intend to figure out that whole album someday, but it's gonna be fucking hard because the bassist just does whatever the hell he feels like and no two riffs are ever the same

Thanks 05-26-2007 12:32 AM

Electrelane is a pretty cool band. A friend of mine is starting a band with two other chicks, and she told me to listen to Electrelane to here their inspiration. Honestly, not bad stuff.
