CJborton...he's a big IE whore and an army man.

Hasn't been around for a long time though.
Oh I remember him. First time he posted something to me was to stop double and triple posting in the IE thread

I was a lil too enthusiastic about that thread earlier on.

Apocalyptic Raids 03-18-2006 07:48 AM

Yeah, I haven't seen Chris around in a long time.

Lord Abortion 03-18-2006 08:00 AM

I just dropped him an e-mail.

See what happens

Maybe you'll hear me one day and decide you can.

Stormrider 03-18-2006 10:12 AM

No wants to hear me sing. I sing ok cleanly, but when it comes to being agreesive I suck badly.

So when I'm playing along i just lipsing and make plenty of faces...it adds to the intensity :p

I can't do either. My growl's just not angry enough, there's something missing from it.

Not much, just hanging around listening to music, thinking about playing some PS2. I think Metal Gear Solid 3 is calling my name. Have you checked the latest update on the new CoF album? I'm interested to hear what it's gonna be like with Ville Valo from HIM doing guest singing. I can't wait for that.

Plus my new guitar came in a few minutes ago. :D The fucking sexiest shred machine I've ever seen!

I so badly want to play that again :(

Shadows 03-18-2006 10:35 AM

Out of nowhere I got this urge to play it again. Damn good game, it is. I can't wait for MGS4.

What did you get?

Jev 03-18-2006 10:37 AM

Snake's looking a bit too old in 4. I don't like the idea of Old Snake :(
And Liquid needs to be in the next one <3 Liquid.

Shadows 03-18-2006 10:40 AM

I know, I don't like the idea of old Snake either. He needs to be that young, vital killing machine he always was.
What did you get?
Jackson RR5 :)

gillygan 03-18-2006 10:42 AM

Haha those are so fuc'king amazing! Congrats!

I love those so much.
I tried to trade my Ibanez RG with my mate for his. He's not stupid though.

Shred Danson 03-18-2006 10:46 AM

Jackson = splooge.

So I recorded a little more with the band and saw V for Vendetta last night. Great movie.

Shadows 03-18-2006 10:50 AM

Oh yes, this thing is great. Plays like nothing I've ever felt. I've become a Jackson fanboy. It kind of pisses me off that 2006 DKMG's are coming with EMG 81/85 combos now. Mine may already have that though...I'm not completely sure.

Joe 03-18-2006 11:40 AM

Hey everyone

Ok so I'm an HS junior and some of you are probably going through this college search thing. I've been looking into different schools with good majors in Music and even Schools of Music. I'm curious if you guys have any suggestions (besides the obvious Juilliard).

Also, I was looking up Carnegie Mellon's School of Music and they want an "3. An etude or equivalent technical exercise. " What exactly is that?

/to be a little on topic, I hate Jacksons... or at least the one I have.

Shadows 03-18-2006 11:43 AM

I'm in the same situation.

Except I'm not a fool, ie I don't don't hate Jacksons. :p

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't hate Jacksons if I didn't have a Floyd Rose.

So anyways, college suggestions? I've gotten letters from Moravian, Oberlin, and some others.

I understand.

I'm looking at a wide variety of colleges for music, but I'm not looking for anything extremely prestigious. Just something nice with a respectable music program. Palm Beach Atlantic University is my first choice at this point, as the place looks like paradise and I've had multiple recommendations from people saying it's a great place for music. DePaul University has a good music program, as does Bucknell, and there's always the obvious Julliard/Berklee etc.

I'm really only familiar with places closer to my home though, so I can't really give you the best overall recommendation.

Yea, I've been looking into littler places in Penn. and Ohio and then bigger famous places that are probably impossible for me (unless of course somewhere online they have Juilliards' audition pieces). I've been pretty interested in Carnegie Mellon but I don't know if I've got the grades so I'm going to try and get into their music school (admissions is based mostly off audition). But so yea, what's an etude?

Juliard is impossible to get into, you have to be on top of everyone else. Berklee isn't as hard as long as you have money. Berklee is more about money but they have a really good music program and that's how everyone is so good.
