Guy Picciotto's forehead is very strangely shaped.

Your face is strangely shaped.

Great Decay, I love your avatar.

JonM 11-06-2005 10:45 AM

God, Soulseek is amazing, isn't it?

6Stringer 11-06-2005 10:51 AM

That it is Jon, that it is.

Wanker 11-06-2005 10:52 AM
The MoMA is amazing. Enjoy all of it. You probably won't read this until you get back, but whatevzz.
It actually was pretty awesome. Just the walking-around was kinda lame.

My favorite painting was a post-modernist one that had a cube with a pile of crap on top of it.

Sure is.
I saw The Squid and the Whale last night. Good acting, good story, and humor that's just as funny as it is saddening. Very enjoyable film.
This one looks gorgeous, I'm highly anticipating this one. The only movie I'm looking forward to more is Capote, but that's because I'm in love with Philip Seymour Hoffman. :D

lilsolsman 11-06-2005 02:41 PM

I saw Requim for a Dream again today. It's one of my favorite movies of all time, it's damn depressing though.

Zmev 11-06-2005 02:58 PM

That it is.

I like showing people that movie and seeing their reaction.

Iai 11-06-2005 03:08 PM

I've never even heard of it.

The Great Decay 11-06-2005 03:16 PM

There was a drug presentation at my school once and they showed us clips from that movie, but I've never watched it.

superpeer 11-06-2005 03:31 PM

I think I might have seen it, but that I was too stoned to remember anything of it now.

Zappa 11-06-2005 03:43 PM

I hated that movie.

Wanker 11-06-2005 03:45 PM

Requiem still wasn't as good as Pi.

lilsolsman 11-06-2005 03:54 PM
I hated that movie.
What did you hate about it?
I saw Requim for a Dream again today. It's one of my favorite movies of all time, it's damn depressing though.
I saw that for the first time a couple days ago. The mother is just :upset:. Acting was brilliant.

Zappa 11-06-2005 04:38 PM
What did you hate about it?
Basically, I found it impossible to feel for any of the characters. I think this is because they weren't developed in such a way that I could identify them as human beings first, drug victims second. The characters seemed to me like vehicles for displaying disturbing images, and that to me kept said images from being nearly as effective as they could have been.

Please tell me you're kidding.

Happymeal 11-06-2005 05:17 PM

<3 Jennifer Connelly. Haven't watched that though.

I just got home from jamming with my friends, it was pretty rad.

Zappa 11-06-2005 05:21 PM
Please tell me you're kidding.
I agree with his statement. I thought Pi was really neat, and I already gave my opinion of Requiem.

asymm 11-06-2005 05:25 PM
Requiem still wasn't as good as Pi.
Yeah, I'd agree as well. While I enjoyed Requiem, Pi was a more intriguing movie overall.

Electrocution 11-06-2005 05:35 PM

I read the first 200 pages of Requiem in about two days, but I've been reading the remainder painfully slowly.

Little Man being Erased 11-06-2005 06:00 PM

I just started reading Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides. I'm looking forward to continuing.

superpeer 11-06-2005 06:05 PM

I'm reading in a book written in the 1850's, the old language reads so slowly. It's about the Dutch colonisation in Indonesia. Basically a complaint against the inhumane practices over there.

I'll never finish it. But I have to!

Glitterati 11-06-2005 06:34 PM

Just got back from seeing Jarhead. Pretty good, I must say.

I'm reading Please Kill Me right now, it's quite intriguing.

np: Johnny Cash - Ring Of Fire

Zmev 11-06-2005 06:36 PM

I finally finished A Clockwork Orange today, pretty good.

And now I start On the Road, by Jack Kerouac.

Wanker 11-06-2005 06:58 PM
Please tell me you're kidding.
Not at all. Pi's plot was far better. I think it was a lot creepier too, actually.

Zappa 11-06-2005 07:00 PM

That's the next book we have to read in my AP English class.

Nice, he's a great author. Have you read The Virgin Suicides?

Iai 11-06-2005 07:30 PM

I'm reading about 4 things at once. It's really bad.
