Wouldn't it be quin-post (sp?) or something like that? As in quin-tuplits?

An amp has a pre-amp and a power amp. The pre-amp turns the signal sent by your guitar into a sound that can be heard be humans. The power-amp then gives the sound its volume. The pre-amp also is what gives the amp its individual tone.

Therefore the pre-amp is simply a part of the whole amp.

I think this is right, someone correct me if it isnt.

Father_Jack 08-30-2005 01:59 PM
There there

Soo. anyone got any rumours about the next Metalli-album?
Nah, still nothing being said about it.

Isn't it so that in your average, home-used amp, It's in one machine and with (more proffesional) bands the pre-amp and power amp are seprate?
This is a question, to prevent confusement. I'm just guessing around.

Yeah sorry, thats usually in combos and the like (my original post). But, as you said, real expensive gear that professions use, they will have separate pre-amps and power-amps to get the perfect tone.

i wish they'd tour the UK again, they're top of my Bands to see list at the moment. also, i only need 3 albums to have all their studio albums (not including Garage Inc.)

Britton 08-30-2005 10:14 PM

Endless Obsession 08-30-2005 10:22 PM

I hope they come to my state when they tour for the next album. ( I live in New Mexico :upset: )

Jev 08-31-2005 07:15 AM

I hope they come back to England again sometime.

fatbandit 08-31-2005 08:53 AM

For some arena dates, not some pissy festival. However, I've seen the effort that goes into their Arena tours. Maybe they just didn't want to go through that again.

They came to my city when on my Birthday when I was 7.

I wish I liked Metallica when I was 7

Wouldn't surprise me, at a show i went to in Chi-town Limp Bizkit(sp?) opened for Tallica, i think they left the stage after three songs that were all drowned out by angry booing thrash metal heads :thumb:

I don't mind Limp Bizkit.

Durst is the weak link. Musically, they're pretty accomplished and cool :)

Sorry to hear you got banned Jack. I just found out some really s**tty news myself. I won't be getting that gov. grant until the end of next month so there goes that awesome KH-202 that I fought hard to bid on. Right along with my ebay account.
:upset:

I'll still be able to get my books as per U.S. bank of DAD. I swear without an active account there, I don't know wtf I would do. He told me I didn't have enough collateral for the guitar though. :upset:

In my garage band class I was thinking of doing a 'tallica cover and wanted some suggestions for a song that is pretty easy to sing a play simultaneously, (outside of FWTBTs and S-n-D.)

I'll check back here sometime around noon.

Endless Obsession 08-31-2005 12:09 PM

If I were you I would just e-mail the guy who you bought it from and explain the whole situation, say that at the end of the month I will be able to send you the money, and maybe try to work something out with him.

Jev 08-31-2005 12:24 PM

Can't someone lend you the money and you can repay them once you get your grant?

DaveTheAmazing 08-31-2005 12:49 PM

After two days of intense playing, I have learned the interlude to The Unforgiven, which, for me anyway, is a true feat. :chug:

You could always do an instrumental if your singer plays an instrument. If he doesn't he could get pretty bored.

Timidus 08-31-2005 02:23 PM

How about The Unforgiven? Or I Disappear?

Britton 08-31-2005 03:01 PM
I hope at the San Fran shows after Metallica leaves and the Stones start the drunk 'Tallica fans start throwing beer and stuff at them and booing them.
wtf^ the rolling stones are in the top five Rock bands ever

Britton 08-31-2005 03:02 PM

there's alot of Metallica songs you could do that are easy.
anything from the Black album and anything after that

Jev 08-31-2005 03:12 PM

Screw choosing one song, cover them all and choose the best.

Britton 08-31-2005 03:39 PM

lol^ yea

Johnlennon11 08-31-2005 04:26 PM

You would make everyone else look stupid if you did Seek and Destroy perfectly, and you lead singer could sing like James...but that is no small feat.

RustedPieces 08-31-2005 04:27 PM

You make it sound like Seek and Destroy is a really hard song to do.
