Manic Street Preachers - Send Away the Tigers
Different, good. |
SixFtHick - Chicken
These guys are sexed up punk from Aus. The album doesn't quite live up to the energy of their live show but it's great anyway. |
Melt Banana - Bambi's Dilemma
Meat Puppets - II |
The Fall - Grotesque
|
Aquabats - The Fury of the Aquabats
Silly album to kick off my summer |
Apollo Sunshine - Katonah
This is pretty random. |
The Soft Bulletin
Double Nickels On The Dime |

Hot Air Balloon is fun. And so this this, but have you seen these guys? http://www.somervilleartscouncil.org/programs/artbeat/2003/images/apollosunshine.jpg It looks like Elephant 6 threw up. |

i like the bassists face he's like "hey. have you seen my suit? it's YELLOW" tbh thats kind of what i envisioned. i uploaded that album a few times on altrading hoping people would eventually download it. glad to hear you like it. |

|
The Soft Bulletin
Double Nickels On The Dime
Such a great album. |
Battles - Mirrored
|
^^ nice avatar, dude
Kinski - Alpine Static Shellac - Terraform |
how is that kinski album? i had an inclination to check them out but i never did
|
It's cool. Lots of cool guitar effects. It can go from some fairly normal, steady riff-based music into the most druggy, spaced out guitar sections. This is my first time listening to the band, so I'm still kind of undecided about how great it is - but yes, it's great. Kinski als did a collaberation with the Acid Mothers Temple, which I'm getting just now.
I still haven't heard anything by Acid Mothers Temple, so this will hopefully inspire me to check them out as well. |
a user on the other forum i frequent posted this song of his and i loved it
i think a good few of you will too it is subdued minimalist electronica a la Dntel / Lali Puna http://www.speedyshare.com/246316543.html |
Shellac - Terraform
How is this? It's the only Shellac album that I don't have. |
Spoon - Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga
What a terrific, terrific album and probably their best as well (I still haven't heard A Series of Sneaks). I just got it yesterday and it's already one of my favorites of '07. |

Bukowski: Acid Mothers Temple have some awesome stuff. You'd probably like. I can't remember which albums are best, they have so many
perriwinkle: did you have to post the exact same thing twice? |
Obviously there's no such thing as too much attention.
|
How is this? It's the only Shellac album that I don't have.
It's not as good as the 2 main ones, but has some sweet sh;t. Hopefully the new one will be good. Richard Youngs - Sapphie This is one of the most hauntingly desolate albums I've ever heard. Absolutely beautiful music. |
Terraform has two good songs.
The Narrator - All That to the Wall Ice Cube - The Predator Boris w/ Michio Kurihara - Rainbow Chic - The Very Best Of ESG - A South Bronx Story Morrissey - Bona Drag The Associates - The Affectionate Punch Tim Buckley - Goodbye and Hello Drunken Boat - See Ruby Falls Q-Tip - Kamaal the Abstract Jeru the Damaja - The Sun Rises in the East Arcade Fire - Neon Bible Promise Ring - Nothing Feels Good Ellen Allien and Apparat - Orchestra of Bubbles over the past few weeks |
That they do.
I think Hive Mind is pretty much the onlyt no-wave band I dislike. And I've heard just about all of them. I consider Konk, ESG, and Liquid Liquid no wave though. |
The album Men by Burmese is awesome. Is the above-mentioned also?
Very much so. I'll have to check out Men since I'm enjoying this one so much. |

Hmm. I find Konk, ESG, and Liquid Liquid pretty accessible. |
