All the kids I know that get lessons are practically virtuosos. I've never had a lesson, and I'm pretty good. You don't really need lessons, just practice alot, and as Reiner said, google stuff that you can't figure out.

Yeah, but I never pull myself to look up stuff that will help me learn theory. I don't know any notes, scales, chords, or anything. Just how to play, and i've been playing for like 2 years. This kid in my school who has played for a year is so much better then me.

Where are they playing?

I still say it's better to teach yourself, rather than get lessons.

Split up by album, give or take a song or two. They didn't play Ante Up last time I saw them, but I know they change their setlist up every show.

I don't many scales as I'm not big on solos. Also the little theory I know is just like what I've figured out about hardcore really.

Those are the songs I will go off for most.

I don't know any scales or theory. My playing is pretty simple. Maybe a solo here and there, maybe a little tapping interlude, but that's about as complicated as I get.

Yeah, i've gotten a lot better at writing hardcore.

Well for the cd I burned to show him what I might want to learn I put Against Me!, Exodus, A Wilhelm Scream, With Honor, and Lamb of God. There's stuff I want to learn more but I don't have the time to look for stuff.
