Tyler 08-12-2008 03:33 AM

I stayed awake until ****ing 5am only to have TSN change from basketball to ****ing ROWING mid-way through the second quarter. I ****ing hate that stupid puckhead channel. ****ing ROWING. Now I'm streaming it on some crappy *** 3x5 feed instead of watching it on my 40" TV. God damnit.

Tyr 08-12-2008 04:42 AM

Ouch, that sucks.

Here they've just started showing swimming again, so now I won't have to watch the women's football anymore.

the2stranger 08-12-2008 04:49 AM

Morning guys.
I have a splinter or something in my finger, it sucks.

And my package will be delivered today hopefuly. :D
DVDs and books.

Ventriloquist 08-12-2008 04:51 AM

Womens Trap Shooting was on last night. Now I know what fat women do for sports.

Pour some olive oil on it and squeeze it out.

Tyr 08-12-2008 04:51 AM

Sup, Petey?

I have been awake for five hours and still haven't eaten breakfast.

I didn't know tht, I might try that.
Or just grab a red hot needle and pinch it out.
Thanks for the advice.

Hey Bjorn.
I'm doing alright.
I left home at 7:20am to go to work. :-\
So I'm wide awake and had both breakfast and lunch.
But the 5 hours awake-no breakfast thing sounds familair too.
It's so tempting to just turn on the PC right after waking up and spending all day on it without eating/washing/doing laundry/homework or whatever. :p
Just because I'm lazy. haha.

I'm looking forward to my package.
2 books and 2 DVDs, and another book should be delivered in a few days.
I ordered:
Bhagavad Gita
Thomas More - Utopia
and DVDs:
Day Watch
Naqoyqatsi
It suck that the mailman comes so late during the summer though.

w00t.
Ow and yesterday we bought new furniture for our living room which should arrive at the end of the month. :D

np: Trails Of Anguish - The Scythe Of engrieved Melancholia

Tyr 08-12-2008 06:16 AM

I just ate lunch, without eating breakfast. The hunger was too much.

Bhagad Gita, eh? I've been meaning to read that.

the2stranger 08-12-2008 06:47 AM

Yeah, I've been putting it of, but now I finally ordered it.
I'm really looking forward to reading it.
I just had a cookie.

And I'm a bit scared. :(
My Laptop started to make weird sounds and gave e a weird screen that ket repeating some ****, which probably wasn''t good.
After rebooting 10 times and finally getting it back to work I decided to put everything important on my external HD.
I'd cry if I lost my music, pics, uni work and god knows what.

Tyr 08-12-2008 07:03 AM

I really must buy a new external HD. Mine's getting full and old.

the2stranger 08-12-2008 07:06 AM

External HD's are awesome though.
Mine's old too, bought when they just started to be in the assortment of electronica stores.
It still works like a charm.

W00t, 3 of my oredered items just arrived.
Reading and watching time today. :D

Tyr 08-12-2008 07:10 AM

Mine's working as well, but I'd like another one for back-up.

This day is so slooow.

the2stranger 08-12-2008 07:12 AM

Slow MX wise, or slow in general?

MX is kind of slow, so I guess I might be doing some useful things around the house.
Plus, I'll be cooking tonight.

masscows 08-12-2008 07:14 AM

crazy europeans with your absurd time zones

good morning mx

Tyr 08-12-2008 07:16 AM

Both. I have nothing to do 'til later this evening, so I was hoping that I would be able to pass some time on MX, but it hasn't been happening much here today.

I should probably bring forth my vacuum cleaner, but I can't be bothered.

Myeah, not too much going on.
I guess we're the only ones awake/not working.
I should vacuum my room too, and put my dirty laundry in the washing machine.
But also I can't be bothered.

Tyr 08-12-2008 07:22 AM

Tyler was awake when I woke up, but he went to sleep and then I haven't had anyone to talk to. But now there are a few online.
Mine's working as well, but I'd like another one for back-up.
It's a good idea man...they're going for really cheap right now, and it will be worth it when your current one starts slowing/crashing.

Tyr 08-12-2008 07:27 AM

As soon as I get some money, at the end of the month, I'll buy a new one.

Also: 10k posts.

masscows 08-12-2008 07:27 AM

how much are decent external hd's usually

the2stranger 08-12-2008 07:28 AM
Tyler was awake when I woke up, but he went to sleep and then I haven't had anyone to talk to. But now there are a few online.
Usually, very early in the morning, there will be an aussie online, like Jono or Jason.
But from about mid day till 4 pm it's usually very quiet around here.
Except for certain Europeans, who seem to have nothing else of importance to do. :p
hahah.

EDIT:
Congrats on making your 'goal'.

Tyr 08-12-2008 07:31 AM

I have lots of important stuff to do: surf the internet, watch the Olympics. :D

FreeSmells 08-12-2008 07:39 AM
how much are decent external hd's usually
500 gig ones are selling for under $100
And that's with a reputable company (Western Digital)
how much are decent external hd's usually
I'm planning on getting a 1 TB HDD. Have a 320GB and 120GB one both almost full. They are around 170 - 200 USD. I'm pretty sure there are cheaper ones but they might thrash all your stuff one day.

FreeSmells 08-12-2008 07:40 AM

You're grossly overpaying, dude.

Ventriloquist 08-12-2008 07:41 AM

I'm not buying one now. I'm just looking for. I'll wait for the prices to drop down. Like the 500 gigs did.

FreeSmells 08-12-2008 07:42 AM

Yeah, I was pretty pissed. I picked up a 250 gig for $120, then a week later it dropped to $90 and the 500 gig was at $120.

That shit always happens to me with electronics.

Dimmu Burger 08-12-2008 07:42 AM

My wife and I have a 750 gig I think. It's pretty sweet.

the2stranger 08-12-2008 07:43 AM

That happens to everyone actually.
Electronics prices are so shite. going up and down like a crazy man

Dimmu Burger 08-12-2008 07:45 AM

True dat. I had gotten a 80 gig iPod and then they came out with a 160gig for the same price shortly thereafter. Upsetting, I still got the 160 though, lol.

Ventriloquist 08-12-2008 07:47 AM

Wonder if they would make TB iPods. That'd be ace. I can't fit in my 30 gig one.. It's impossible.

masscows 08-12-2008 07:49 AM

my next digital music player purchase will be a 160 gig ipod for certain

won't be for a little while though

FreeSmells 08-12-2008 07:50 AM

How much are ipods going now a days?
I have the 3rd Gen 20gig...back then it was $300.

the2stranger 08-12-2008 07:50 AM

I remain loyal to Creative Zen.
I love that machine and hate the commercial **** of apple.
:p

masscows 08-12-2008 07:53 AM

I have some Japanese thing called a 'gigabeat' right now, it's alright though pretty obviously set up by people who don't speak English very well in how things are organized and such

Ventriloquist 08-12-2008 07:53 AM

My friend had a Zen and it kept having problems. Well I have to say that iPods are pretty solid only had a problem with my previous 20 gig photo iPod 3 years ago. I went to the service and they asked like 120 euros or something like that. After a little examination I figured out that the hard disc wasn't spinning. So I slapped it 5 6 times and it still works like a charm now.. So yea **** apple

But I'll still buy another iPod. I've become Apple's bitch...:upset:

the2stranger 08-12-2008 08:02 AM

I've never had trouble with my Zen, I've had it 4,5 years now.
The battery isn't as good as in the beginning any more, but oh well.

AA-12 08-12-2008 08:03 AM

I love my 80 gig iPod.

Next related purchase will be an iPhone + service whenever I get a job :(

Tyr 08-12-2008 08:07 AM

160 gig iPod is something I need as well.

FreeSmells 08-12-2008 08:17 AM

The next thing I'm picking up are a router, modem, and usb wireless N adapter for my new apartment :)

Aakon_Keetreh 08-12-2008 09:29 AM

i have an ipod nano and its gone to ****
