It was pretty elite I guess.

Shattered_Future 07-05-2008 10:01 PM

I bought My Dying Bride's live DVD today.

What a stupid purchase. That was a terrible DVD.

Although on the plus side, I got tickets to The Dark Knight IN IMAX.

Angmar 07-05-2008 10:05 PM

I really wanna see The Dark Knight, Batman Begins was elite so I have high hopes.

gmoneyguy 07-05-2008 10:07 PM

Dark Knight looks badass. Heath Ledger went ****ing insane preparing for his role, so I think his part will be krieg at least.

TimJim 07-05-2008 10:08 PM
I really wanna see The Dark Night, Batman Begins was elite so I have high hopes.
im seeing that at the midnight showing :)

Deth 07-05-2008 10:08 PM

Dark Knight, come on now

It's by far the movie I'm most excited to see this summer. Hopefully I can talk my friends into going to the IMAX with me on opening night.

Also I'm obviously a Batman nerd

gmoneyguy 07-05-2008 10:09 PM

I would go see it on IMAX, if there was one that closer than 30 miles away.

Angmar 07-05-2008 10:10 PM

lol how did I mess that one up

Closest Imax to me is Canada, then Seattle :[

Deth 07-05-2008 10:11 PM

The closest one to me is at the Ft. Lauderdale Museum of Discovery AND Science

How they fit both of those categories in one building is beyond me.

gmoneyguy 07-05-2008 10:13 PM

Closest one to me is Mobile, Alabama, and the next closest after that is New Orleans.

Shattered_Future 07-05-2008 10:17 PM

Closest one to me is 10 minutes away at our mall. :D

I realized I could have gotten tickets to a midnight showing on Thursday at a normal theater, but then I thought that Batman would be so much more elite in IMAX.

Steerpike 07-05-2008 10:47 PM

So my brother has been home from Mexico for several days now.

Mexico seems to have made him less of a dickhead, which is good. He still defends Juno, Saw, and World of Warcraft though. And he still thinks I'm crazy for wanting to see Postal.

Deth 07-05-2008 10:48 PM

Well you are.

gmoneyguy 07-05-2008 10:56 PM

Juno wasn't that bad

Steerpike 07-05-2008 11:06 PM
Well you are.
It's actually garnered some positive reviews, has had a surprisingly enthusiastic reception at several independent film festivals, and sounds so utterly tasteless and bizarre that I'm kind of obligated to see it.
Juno wasn't that bad
The dialog in the first act could not have been more painful if it was stabbing me in the groin.

gmoneyguy 07-05-2008 11:10 PM
The dialog in the first act could not have been more painful if it was stabbing me in the groin.
I agree, but I thought the rest of the movie was good enough that I could effectively ignore that dialogue.

Steerpike 07-05-2008 11:14 PM

The movie wasn't good enough to make me ignore the dialog formula.

meh, I also didn't like it that much to defend it anymore.

McP3000 07-05-2008 11:55 PM

I found it really good...but i dont watch that many movies to begin with. Also, anything that actually tries to be genuinely humorous nowadays gets points from me.

**** will ferrel and that Meet the Spartains bullshit.

Steerpike 07-06-2008 12:08 AM
**** will ferrel and that Meet the Spartains bullpoop.
Have you seen the trailer for the latest movie from those hacks behind Meet the Spartans and Epic Movie? It sets the very concept of movies back about 50 years.

McP3000 07-06-2008 12:14 AM

Disaster Movie or whatever?

I want to ****ing die when i saw that they were still allowed to live

Steerpike 07-06-2008 12:18 AM

My friends and I have come to the conclusion that if there's a joke in that movie about Heath Ledger being dead, we're going to have to set things on fire.

Pebster49 07-06-2008 01:29 AM
so yeah, i was just informed my girlfriend was pretty much cheating on me. lying, saying she was busy when she wasn't and hanging out with guys, etc.

but i sent her a bunch of text messages telling her she's a filthy hypocrite and i hope she ends in a life of pain and misery. i felt a little better.
1338 h4x0r 07-06-2008 04:24 AM

The last time someone betrayed me like that, I said loudly to my guards "Will no one rid me of this meddlesome priest?" and, as it turns out, the individual in question died under mysterious circumstances shortly afterwards.
