Yea, sounds pretty good. A lot better than using the crappy mic like before anyway. Worth the $100 I think. Haven't made any major recording with it yet though. I also picked up a BBE Sonic Maximizer Plug In so my recordings should sound a lot better.

MRDuCran 06-21-2006 06:16 PM

Have you heard MetalJonus's recordings with his V-amp??

I don't actually like his tones at all but maybe you listen to different music so you'll go for something heavier, or drier.

I've about that BBE Sonic Maximizer Plug In on here quite alot but I have no idea what it is.

???

The Sonic Maximizer does something along the lines of equalizing all the sound waves or something, I'm not sure. All I know is that it makes everything sound better and more proffessional...so I'm not complaining.

Metaljonus' rythmn tones arent that great, but good enough for me when recording. I love the lead tones that come out of the V-Amp though. The cleans are pretty good too when adding just a bit of chorus and delay.

AA-12 06-21-2006 06:22 PM

I'm thinking of getting a Maximizer soon.

AA-12 06-21-2006 06:23 PM

:o!

MRDuCran 06-21-2006 06:24 PM

When you say plug in, what's it an extension of, or is it actually a piece of hardware?

Forlorn Hope 06-21-2006 06:24 PM

If anyone wants the Maximizer Plug-In email me cause I already agreed to send it to one person.

Plug In isnt an actual piece of hardware. Its just a file. Basically I just put it in the Cool Edit Pro 2.1 folder and it shows up as an effect after clicking "refresh effects"

I might have to take you up on that actually, I use Cool Edit 2 at the moment.

TEST 06-21-2006 06:42 PM

Mitch finally got a necrophagist avatar. I'm soo jealous.

MRDuCran 06-21-2006 06:48 PM

Sarcasm?

TEST 06-21-2006 06:50 PM
Sarcasm?
no rly. I'm addicted to necrophagist. I listen to both albums at least once a day.

Forlorn Hope 06-21-2006 07:35 PM

I could never really get into them for some reason. Maybe the part of my brain that controls listening to necrophagist is broken.

AA-12 06-21-2006 07:38 PM

I've been really into them lately too.

MRDuCran 06-21-2006 08:11 PM
no rly. I'm addicted to necrophagist. I listen to both albums at least once a day.
Why be jealous when you can have one yourself if you wanted to?

Fave album?

Mine would be Epitaph, better songwriting imo.

AA-12 06-21-2006 08:16 PM

Epitaph for me. The previous album had really bad production.

MRDuCran 06-21-2006 08:22 PM

There was a drummer kid saying that at college today actually, I never really heard that much difference, but Epitaph is better.

Epitaph here as well. Stabwound is breathtaking. Those sweeps and skip skipping riffs. wow.... Only Ash Remains is excellent as well. Seven.

haha all are amazing. both albums

Apocalyptic Raids 06-22-2006 02:42 AM

Necrophagist puts me to sleep.
Necrophagist puts me to sleep.
what doesn't put you to sleep?

Apocalyptic Raids 06-22-2006 04:07 AM

good music.

MRDuCran 06-22-2006 04:13 AM

I probably don't like Necrophagist as much as Dylan or Wotan, I just really appreciate the leads. I recorded a sweep in a mellow song, Muhammed Style the other day, I was so proud.

I do like alot of their rhythms, I just wouldn't be able to listen to both their albums at least once a day...like Dylan does.

Apocalyptic Raids 06-22-2006 09:41 AM

Yeah, they can certainly play but even when I liked Technical Music I found them terribly bland :-\

SimonCore 06-22-2006 09:51 AM

What's Bodom's set been for the Unholly alliance tour so far??

MRDuCran 06-22-2006 12:21 PM

Short.

Silent Night Bodom Night
In Your Face
Needled 24/7
Living Deadbeat
Angels Dont Kill
Hate Me!
Downfall
Yeah, they can certainly play but even when I liked Technical Music I found them terribly bland :-\
Who do you find technical and interesting??

AA-12 06-22-2006 12:23 PM

I must say, for technical music, Death > All.

MRDuCran 06-22-2006 12:44 PM

I hate them lol.

I looked at some tabs and they don't look that technical, they sound like a little more technical Slayer to me.

You hate Death? wow. They're probably one of the best tech death bands. Most tech death is incredibly boring, IMO.

MRDuCran 06-22-2006 12:58 PM

They don't even sound like death metal imo, I think it sounds more like thrash.
But yeah I can't listen to them.
