Eh, I don't know, he's been spamming a lot ever since Riva gave him his avatar. That might have something to do with it. I find that checking the last few posts they made before bannination gives clues.

Oh, you meant your actual CDs. For some reason I automatically assumed some kind of ripping to hard drive/RYM thing.

I've never really ordered my CDs. Closest thing to order in my (physical) collection is that I tend to keep CDs I buy together, together. I'm surprisingly good at remembering what these groups are though, if nothing else.

ATM - you could always carry on through the lyrics of the song.

Admittedly my first thought when I see "slug" (out of context) is a friend of mine stamping on them.

It's actually kind of dumb. Riva posted his last.fm listings, and Ray came on and said that last.fm was stupid. Riva responded with a crack at Ray saying something like "Oh yeah, nothing's more interesting than you being black and talking about sports" alluding to something they disagreed about in the Sports forum, I think (I think Ray said that Australians can't play basketball). Ray said "i forgot there was nothing more interesting than posting numbers for no reason" and Riva said he had a "cynical worldview" and gave him the avatar of the little black kid yelling "That's racist!" Then Ray just spammed until he got banned.

I think they both handled it rather poorly, but I guess it was more of a continuation of a previous feud than it first appeared to me, having missed it by a few posts. The spamming with no punctuation is probably what got him banned, since we know Ray's capable of spelling and so was doing it as a blithe affectation.

He only tends to do it when he feels like he's being belittled over it or when his opinion on a race-based issue is being glossed over. Maybe he takes it a little more personally than he should, but that's the whole thing about America's race problem in the first place, isn't it? I personally don't get bothered by the fact that he uses the fact that he's black as a major defining characteristic of who he is and how he responds to stuff, so I would say that anyone who does is probably being just as sensitive as he is.

He'll also use it to make jokes, but we all do that.

Justified Genocide isn't going to be available for download or on the EP because Kevin, the guy who produced it and the compilation it went on is a douche and doesn't want OUR song to be available anywhere else, even though that compilation isn't available for wide distribution. He is a douchebag when it comes to recording bands, so safe to say, we didn't go back to him for fear he would have screwed with our songs like he did with Surdin (see the "keyboard interlude" in "Love to Hate" on Surdin's myspace [url]http://www.myspace.com/surdin[/url] ...that wasn't supposed to be there, just something Kevin added in). So on the next compilation, supposedly he wants it to be all acoustic, so we're just going to do an acoustic version of "Justified Genocide" :lol:

As much as I like being credited for work that I didn't do, I must say that I neither banned Ray or changed his avatar. I'm not really concerned enough to check either.

As for the argument we had, it was more a joke when it started, but I think I probably handled it wrong. Ah well. I do take umbrage at his constant allusions to the inferiority of us Aussies though, as Lucas picked up.

Lately he's seemed very irritable. The obnoxious posting of statistics and offense at someone's refusal to use myspace I found very unusual.
