Big L is great. Shame about the beats on that album though, if he'd got some better producers to complement his skills that album could have been ridiculously good. It's still great, but the beats are pretty bland alot of the time. I Don't Understand It is awesome.

Hehe. Well I haven't dove too far into the genre, so I don't think my hip-hop/rap knowledge is developed enough to analyze fitting beats. However, I tend to pay more attention to the lyric and flow than anything else.

Yeah, this is a good bet. Unis can tell somehow through their IT department when P2P programs are being utilized (save for myTunes, because it connects to the local network instead of connecting to a server), but Sendspace/Megaupload/whatever you should be fine unless you download 20374023840238342343 MB a day... they'll probably notice that.
