I'm just saying that the books are almost always better then the movies.
My bad if I came across as snarky. My friend gave me New York Dolls - Rock N Roll (Greatest Hits), so I'm pretty happy right now.
Took you long enough ffs.
how is that a negative thing
because i already have enough CDs. |
why doesnt anybody ever talk to me in the soulseek chatroom?
|
Rocky is a ****ing terrible movie. How they made so many sequels is completely beyond me.
I'm reading Catch-22 at the moment. I read A Clockwork Orange last week. |
Catch-22 is extremely good.
|
It is probably the funniest book I've ever read.
|

Saw Rocky Balboa today and I liked it even though it kinda sucked. Anyone watch the guitar duel between Colbert and The Decemberists? Chris Funk got destroyed. edit: nvm sexymuffin beat me to it |
It took me ages to get into the book (Clockwork Orange), because of the weird language used. But it's good when you do. The movie is excellent.
I struggle with William Burroughs as well sometimes, Naked Lunch can be a hard read. |
I've been meaning to read Naked Lunch ever since I heard that song he did with R.E.M..
|

I struggle with William Burroughs as well sometimes, Naked Lunch can be a hard read.
I thought Clockwork Orange was really captivating. I loved the language in it. Not a big fan of the movie since it kinda ruined what I thought of Alex and stuff plus it left out the last chapter. Currently reading One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest. I like it so far. |
The DVD of One Flew Over... is on the table right next to me.
|
I thought Clockwork Orange was really captivating. I loved the language in it.
I attempted at this, but had trouble with the language. Maybe I'll try again now that I'm a bit older. |
I agree Jawharal, it just took me ages to get into the book. It's one of my faves now.
I'm listening to my old favorites Propagandhi just now and I'm still euphoric from seeing them Saturday. Best show, best day, best night, of my life. I lost my t-shirt in the pit though. Great times. |
why do you guys think i'm telling the truth about the rocky movie? i havent seen it, i'm just being a jerk >:-}
|
Because you're the world's toughest milkman.
|
YDload told the truth.
|
Does YDload= Wide Load?
|
.....really?
|

Me too except replace ACO with On The Road. Two big A/I books there. |
on the road is brilliant
|

I'm so glad I saw the film first, I don't think I would have had any hope of understanding the language in the book if I hadn't. |
YDload has a good avatar.
|
too long; decided not to read
but the first paragraph sounded pretty good, but tbh writing reviews would be gay because the only way to make a lot of money at it is to credit green day as writing a "Punk Rock Opera" which is total crap |
yeah im pretty sure i told you it was a good review.
i actually like that album a lot less than i did when i first commented on it. but not BECAUSE of what you said, just the fact that the things you mention tend to catch up to the listener after a while. plus Change is probably a better album of theirs anyway. |
It's a good review, though it's probably not a good idea to make reference to yourself. At least that's what I learned in school.
And yeah, Emergency and I sucks. |
aka my review subliminally blew your mind
PS thanks
well i really wouldnt know for sure v:(v PS i tell you, you tell me http://www.sputnikmusic.com/album.php?albumid=2102 |
okay i read it and it sucked
|
if it was bullshit i wouldn't have said it
i speak in irrefutable facts. i dunno where you've been |
I don't want too cuz I listened to d-plan like a year ago and decided i wasn;t into them.
|

|

|

|
sloppy typing, and burt got a life or something
|
i don't care about burt, i dont like him
but oink is torrents, not slsk, let's all get on slsk and tlak...go |
ok what's the deal with Oink
why is it different from soulseek
it's harder to use and more elite i have an account and i don't use it becuase i h8 it oh faster d/l speeds usually too, but whatev |
I heard the MP3 quality is usually much better also.
|
everyone here should read The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell
|
Explain why I should.
|
because once you do, you'll never be able to see yourself, other people, or the world the same way
|
Books are for perrwinkles.
