I like when bands play at smaller venues, that's all. And I would really hate it if Streetlight got as big as Reel Big Fish or maybe Less Than Jake.
And seriously, many bands seem to become a lot worse when they get bigger for some reason. I don't know how many times I've heard the sentence: "Yeah that band rules but you should definitely start up with their debut, it's their best effort". Or: "That band ruled....once! |
Happy Thoughts Happy Thoughts Please.

|
So much negativity here =( Breaks my Zen.
|
hahh iv just been a streetlight fan for a very long time, and know just because its posted on their website, dosnt mean its gonna happen. iv been waiting for this album since like 2004...
|
The Risc Group's store site is up again and something looks interesting.
http://www.theriscstore.com/ Try and look under "artists". Of course there is Streetlight and Botar. But a third name appears, and I have never heard of it: Dan Potthast? Who or what is Dan Potthast ??? A new Risc Group project? Cause that would be cool. |
i believe he is from MU330, the singer.
|
I believe Dan Potthast is a guy from MU330's solo project. I saw him in '04, so it's not new, probably just new to RISC.
Edit: beaten. |
saw that a couple days ago. gave some of his stuff a listen, it was okay. 2.5/5
|
Does anyone have the BOTAR intro track? I've lost my CD and I can't find the track online anywhere.
|
i have the album i believe, slsk is WeAreTheFew106. my files are messy though, my comp won't let me fix them but it should be there.
|
It's weird that they have Potthast on the site but nothing available from him.
|
Do you mean this one? Dunno if it's that one, but it is awesome!
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=54WW63YQ
that's it! thank you so much. now i really, really wish that they would come to australia. |
so the title of Streetlights new album is "somewhere in the between"
|
wow, you beat me to it. I HATE THAT ALBUM TITLE, wait it is just an album title. i dont care.
|
i kinda like it
its not amazing but not bad i think |
could totally do better, but i guess we'll see, i trust it will suit the album.
|
the capitolization of the word 'The' makes the title amazing.
|
I don't really pay attention to album titles. All this means is that it's just a step closer to actually being released, which is cool.
It kind of sucks for streetlight manifesto, though, because when a first album like that gets so much critical acclaim, the second is bound to dissapoint, even if it's not bad. |
4sleeeeps till streeeetlight
|
I actually don't mind the title, at least it makes you think a little, but of course it comes down to the music. If they called it "Butterscotch Love Puppies Make Me Sweat Perfection" then I might be concerned.
I hope overall the album is a big change from their last album. After 4 years from their last release it should be expected and I like when a band can constantly change. To me if a band doesn't change, their flare that excited me in the beginning keeps fading and fading until I don't even care to listen to the new stuff. If I had to guess this album is going to be somewhere in the between of a 4 and a 4.5. Anyone else want to take a guess on how they think it is going to turn out? |
either a 1 or a 5. Either it will be better than their last album, which would make it absolutely amazing, or it will disappoint, and make it hard to rate it anything but a 1.
|
Everything Goes Numb is seriously one of my favourite albums ever. I probably have listened to it more than any other album I own. To be honest, I can't see it topping it so I am slightly scared for a disappointment but we'll have to see. I really hope every song is anthemtic in the same way EGN was.
Butterscotch Love Puppies Make Me Sweat Perfection
Best. Album. Title. Ever. |
I don't really care about the name of a streetlight album, lyrics and music are way more important.
|
i dont get why people are getting so hyped up about an album.
|
Best. Album. Title. Ever.
thanks. I made it up to be horrible, but it turned out to be the best thing ever. edit: jess. I think you are lying. |
i dont get why people are getting so hyped up about an album.
It has massive potential, the band is amazing. (and you're lying :P) Am I the only one who would like to see a slow Streetlight song? |
It has massive potential, the band is amazing. (and you're lying :P)
Am I the only one who would like to see a slow Streetlight song?
a moment of silence has its moments as well does a better place a better time |
A moment of silence, with a title like that should have its fairshare of slow parts. But hey thats just me.
|
i didnt mean in that vein exactly... and I always kind of grouped a moment of silence/violence together as one song...
|
a moment of silence is probly my favourite on the album.
|
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEw0uCFHeIk
somewhere near the end you can hear the line "somewhere in the between" hello title track |

hope they do something like this, but with everyone cause the drummer and bass player totally deserve one too. |
